Why do we brand our horses?

So they can always find their way home to us when they travel the path not designed. Today we laid to rest one of our biggest supports and friends. We were honored to place our brand with her so we can always find each other again. This isn't a goodbye, bc you are still with us. I know your keeping watch over all us, this rescue and of course Otter. Until I see you both again, will you leg him up for me? We will all KEEP LIVIN for you Jennalea Hill

I am honored that Jennalea Hill family has suggested donating to the rescue in her memory. I wanted to personally thank all that have and for the love, patience and prayers you have sent to us all. I will ensure that the Hill family knows who has donated in her memory, any special messages, as well as the great amount of love that has been shown to them all. I know Jennalea's spirit, love, and memory will live on in my heart as well as yours.
I have spent an extra amount of time with this potato- French Fry the last week bringing me alittle closer to her. Jennalea trusted me with this special one. He was one of the many animals she saved. Thank you Jennalea for being you and inspiring me to be a bit more like you.

We lost one of the good ones.
Last night one of our own RRR family members, board members and dear friend passed away.
Jennalea Hill was not only a dear friend, supporter but also served on our board. She was my second, not only saving animals, but people. She had this light, a soul that if you were lucky enough to know her, shined so bright your own shadows would retreat. She lived every day to the fullest, with a heart that was pure and good. She was my sounding board and biggest supporter when it came to the rescue but more than that she was my friend. The world, this rescue and my heart will be less bright without you in it. Please pray for her family and her community because we all lost a pillar.

A friend reminded me Remedy would not be Remedy without her. She named Remedy Ranch Rescue... I don't know how I forgot that but one more thing to ve grateful for.

This girl gets a little bit red hot in the arena, but on the trails she takes it with breeze. She is forward but controllable. She had what we assume was an accident that left her pelvis out of alignment. She has been seen by the chiropractor but has left her w a hitch in her giddy up which can be observed at a trot and lope. She is not in pain, and does great in a light to moderate work life style. She needs an intermediate home but an advance beginner can ride her out and about on the trails.
Adoption fee is 1️⃣2️⃣✴️✴️ but get 2️⃣✴️✴️ off if adopted before by birthday 🎂 Nov 13th.

Check in time on a few babies..
🐴Viper- is doing amazing with the talented Ali OMalley leading him to be the best citizen possible.
🐴Flannel- is kicking butt at packing on those pounds.
🐴Boa- is finishing up her confined recovery after removing a mass (sarcoid) from her leg.
🐴Mamba- is off with another trainer. Just waiting on an updated picture.
🐴Scarett- is heading off to another trainer to work on some manners.
🐴Sike- has another appointment with the farrier on Tuesday, working on getting him healed up so he can find his forever home. He has been enjoying time off, getting chunky!!

This all takes an outrageous amount of time, energy and money. We appreciate everyone's donations, sharing and following.

We assisted as I stated with the Marshall's on a surrender/neglect case. Sadly after our vet appt today we are going to come home give him love and food for a few days and make arrangements to allow Buddy as he was called to pass with dignity. He has almost no back molars, a hole in his upper jaw that is infected leading to p***y drainage out his nose. Aging at well over 30 with a poor body score. Life has become to hard for this sweet boy.
So he will get love, cookies, a full belly and a dignified end.
I am thankful we are able to step in and help him instead of suffering a longer end.
I am going to count this as a win. Because we are preventing more suffering.

We are now on our way to another rescue with the amazing Marshall's office. They are making a difference in our community by taking steps to ensure livestock is being cared for not just ignored!!

True facts.
I am struggling to get back in the saddle. I have had many offers come ride, I'll bring a pony for you. I have horses at the rescue that need to be ridden. I have my ol man, but truth be told. I DONT WANT TO, I AM NOT ENJOYING RIDING. I lost Otter 2 months ago, and I can count on 1 hand how many times I have been on a horse. The horses are being fed, cared for, and loved. I am trying to find love in something that used to fuel me, but the truth is I have no desire to try. Loss is hard. I had no idea how much it would hurt me to lose him. Refinding passion... will I get there?

Also, facts - why I am sharing... bc one you haven't seen as many post, two I know others feel this way and I want you to know ur not alone.

We have a few boarding spots opening up at the beginning of November. We have horses going back home after riding out the hurricane season with us.
Pasture board feeding 1x daily starts at $400 a month. Individual paddocks available
Small riding arena, round pen, tack room, trailer parking.
