🛢️🚫 Garage storage can be DANGEROUS for your furry friends!

🐶🐱 Strong chemicals and substances like paints, glues, and antifreeze can be toxic if ingested. But antifreeze is particularly hazardous, as its sweet scent can attract pets, leading to kidney failure or death even with a small amount ingested. Keep your pets safe and secure by storing these products out of reach!👀

🐾🏃‍♀️ Want to keep your pet happy and healthy? Exercise and mental stimulation are key! A quick walk or play session won't cut it, though.

🐶🐱 Switch up your pet's routine by trying puzzle feeders, new toys, or playing scent games. Take your dog to an off-leash park or enroll in obedience classes to keep their minds engaged.

🏋️‍♂️🐾 Your cat will appreciate additional climbing opportunities and prey-like toys to exercise their hunting instincts. Keeping your pet active and engaged will help them live their best life.

👀🐕Do your pets drink out of the pool?

💦Pets drinking pool water may face several health issues, including:

☑️Chemical Exposure: Chlorine and other pool chemicals can irritate a pet's stomach and digestive system, leading to vomiting and diarrhea.

☑Dehydration: Pool water contains chemicals that can further dehydrate pets, especially if they consume a significant amount.

☑Infections: Pool water can harbor bacteria or parasites, which may cause gastrointestinal infections or skin irritations.

☑Electrolyte Imbalance: High salt concentrations in some pools can lead to electrolyte imbalance, causing health complications.

☑Behavior Changes: Pets might exhibit behavioral changes due to discomfort or illness from drinking pool water.

🤳🐾If you suspect your pet has consumed pool water and is showing signs of distress, it's important to call us or bring your pet in for treatment.🐾

If your pet’s trigger is something you cannot change, such as a loud thunderstorm, fireworks, or construction noise, try to create a positive association with the trigger. You can do this by offering your pet treats or playing a favorite game during the trigger event to distract and calm them. Over time, your pet may begin to associate the trigger with positive experiences and be less likely to bark.

Another strategy is to desensitize your pet to the trigger. This involves gradually exposing your pet to the trigger at a low level and rewarding calm behavior. For example, if your dog barks at passing cars, you could start by exposing them to a parked car at a distance and reward calm behavior, then gradually move closer to passing cars. This can be a slow process, but with consistency and patience, your pet can learn to remain calm in the presence of the trigger.

Finally, it’s important to ensure that your pet is getting enough physical and mental stimulation. Boredom and excess energy can lead to excessive barking. Make sure your pet is getting enough exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation such as puzzle toys or training exercises. A tired and happy pet is less likely to bark excessively.
