CrossPost* this beautiful girl is looking for a home of her very own♡
**EDIT: ADOPTED!!** BROOKLYN, NY: 13 year old Selma attended SSD's special adoption event in December and is still looking for her forever home. Several of the seniors who attended have already been adopted, and others are pending, but Selma does not have any current prospects. This sweetheart was tossed from a car as a puppy resulting in permanent facial deformities. Selma has never held a grudge and is an absolute angel with everyone she meets. PLEASE SHARE!
Badass Animal Rescue wrote, "As a puppy, Selma was thrown from a car resulting in an underbite and facial deformities. She ultimately found a home, but her loving owner passed away unexpectedly from cancer. Selma and her three dog siblings were in rough shape by the time they were discovered one month later. Because of her age and poor condition, it was decided she would be put to sleep. Thankfully, we found Selma in time and it was instantly clear she was destined to be a Badass.
Despite all the hardships she endured, Selma remains a friendly and loving dog who is clearly grateful for another shot at life. She gets along well with dogs and coexists peacefully with cats. She is currently fostered with two other dogs, and had lived with three other dogs before she was rescued. We have not seen her with kids, but she has never exhibited aggressive or fearful behavior towards humans. She loves to greet all humans big and small on walks, and does not know a stranger.
In the home, Selma is very mellow and loves lounging on her bed. She loves to stay close to her people and is very affectionate. She is perfectly house-trained and enjoys slow, short walks. She has shown a tendency to resource guard couches with other dogs, so we recommend not to allow her on human furniture.
Selma is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventative, microchipped and heartworm negative.
An adopter is required to meet her/pick her up from her foster home in Brooklyn. Badass adopts to the tri-state area, and on a case-by-case basis outside the tri-state area."
