Is your pet chipped? In case you didn’t know, I have a pet chip scanner and I come to you! It’s quite convenient when places are closed or you are worried about getting a pet in the car. I have been able to reunite many pets with their families because of their chip. Or I’m able to confirm and advise next steps if you have or find a pet without a chip. Happy to be of service when I’m out and about!

Animal Care of Davis County can also help you verify chips.

I have never considered myself a healer, but I have often been told I have a calming and positive energy, especially with animals. I do believe it is a gift, that fuels my love and relationship with animals. They can sense it and my clients can sense it and it gives them peace of mind and assurance that everyone will be safe and happy in my care.

I'm going to channel my inner Lion King here and tell you a story about the circle of life in the pet world.

The past couple of months have been a whirlwind of emotions. It all started with the heartbreaking news that three friends had passed away within a week. On the way home from one of those funerals, I learned that Ranger, a big, sweet Doberman belonging to one of my best clients, had suddenly passed away. Shortly after, another friend and client's dog, Bowie, a young doodle, also crossed the rainbow bridge.

Since then, there has been a beautiful cycle of life and love. Ranger's parents welcomed a beautiful German Shepherd puppy named Bowie into their lives, while the other friend adopted a sweet Berner puppy Benix. Yet, amidst this renewal, another dear friend and client's German Shepherd, Dieter, passed away.

Working in the pet industry, I witness the circle of life up close. The passings break my heart every time, but the arrival of new furry friends brings me immense joy. I'm deeply grateful for those who include me in all phases of pet parenthood. It's a journey filled with love, loss, and endless gratitude.

If we are going off the cutest experts, this would be accurate 😉🐶 If we are going off of the rest of the experts, this is not true. Contrary to popular belief, most dogs can be left alone at home in a safe environment. In fact they should learn to be alone for reasonable amounts of time (based on their age) to encourage their independence and downtime to rest or sleep and not be stimulated. Having constant attention and interaction is what causes separation anxiety because there will definitely come a time where they will have to be alone and need to be able to handle it.

I recently had the opportunity to take care of these beauties for a new client so she could go on a much needed trip for 2 weeks. 3 visits a day, 45 minutes each morning and night with a half hour in the afternoon. These girls were a hoot and quickly warmed up to me! I made sure they got food, meds, fresh water daily and all the love they could want, and they definitely wanted it! They were always taking turns begging for my attention and my lap! The kitty even made a friend and I made sure they were taken care of too. We had a blast and the client had peace of mind that her home was being watched and her babies were loved. I can’t wait to go back next month!
