Holly Rushing on doing a great job in ranchmanship at Missouri Ranch Horse Association ARHA - American Ranch Horse Association this weekend. She and Tater ended up Reserve hi point over all for the the weekend! Reno and I were good enough for Sr. Horse High Point!!!

First day with this mare, just a couple minutes into our very first session. I'm working to set the tone for leadership. She has already been ridden but has some reactiveness issues. We are basically evaluating her in these first couple sessions to determine what she does know or doesn't know.

This is a bit of an expansion on a video we posted a few days ago

We're learning some editing stuff but hope to get some more videos out soon.

Lunging or driving shouldn't be about wearing a horse out before you ride it. It should be more about getting them mentally prepared. He or she who moves the feet wins! You should decide when, where, and how fast the feet go....not the horse! If you can get them thinking down to the feet and making respectful and thoughtful maneuvers in hand....you got em, time to ride!
