🚨 We need your help! 🚨

With so many cats and dogs in our care, our supplies—especially food and disinfectants— are depleting rapidly. As soon as we get restocked on one item, we are critically low on another. These essentials are CRUCIAL for keeping our animals healthy.

As a nonprofit, we simply cannot help animals in need if we don’t have donations coming in. While we receive items regularly, we just haven’t been able to fully restock lately.

🆘 We’re asking our community to consider organizing supply drives on our behalf. 🆘

Whether through a neighborhood, sports team, workplace, school organization, or even a virtual drive, your efforts would make a tremendous difference! Even sharing our wish lists on social media can make an impact. If our followers rally together, we can hopefully get our heads above water when it comes to supply needs. 🙏

These beautiful black cats are more likely to be overlooked by adopters than their light-colored feline friends. This may be due to superstition or the fact that black fur doesn’t photograph as easily.

This week has been an AMAZING one for fosters stepping up!!! THANK YOU to all who have brought home a temporary companion. 🏡

Hollow Creek Distillery is hosting us for our first ever Distillery Dog Day! 🐾

They’ve got a fun day planned, complete with a special release and a NEW DOG TOY! The best part, all profits from their very first branded dog toy will be donated to Final Victory. The new toy will be available for purchase at the event.

Among the vendors on hand will be Melt of Lexington for lunch and snacks, The Busted Biscuit Bakery selling spirited baked goods, and Heritage Canning with pickles, jellies, jams and more.

Visitors are encouraged to come out and support the event by bringing food for adult dogs, puppies, adult cats, and kittens. Donations of canned chicken, tuna, and pure pumpkin will also be accepted, as well. The Hollow Creek team has an aggressive goal of 1 ton worth of donated items!!! 🤩

These four incredible dogs have faced unimaginable hardships, but they’re now on the path to healing and ready to find the loving forever homes they deserve. ❤️🏡

🩷Miriam- Found with a 5 lb chain around her neck, this resilient girl is now safe with us, being treated for skin and eye infections. She’s ready to leave her painful past behind and start anew.

🩵Slade- This gentle German Shepherd was severely emaciated and suffering from mange when he came to us. Slade is slowly regaining his strength and is eager to find a home where he can continue to heal.

❤️‍🩹Paige- After being hit by a car, Paige has had surgery and is recovering well in a foster home. This brave girl has been healing in our care for a while and is now ready for a family who will give her the love she deserves.

💜Bonnie- Once an emaciated stray, Bonnie was terrified of humans and possibly abused in her early years. She’s learning to trust again and is searching for a patient and loving home.

Our facility is still overcrowded, with most kennels housing 3 dogs. 😓 Fosters, adopters, and community support are greatly needed at all South Carolina municipal shelters and nonprofit rescues.

We are continuing to work 7 days a week caring for a high volume of animals and getting them into foster + forever homes. We are currently operating with very limited intake, trying to get our heads above water while maintaining the safe environment our animals deserve.

We accept dogs into our rescue on a case-by-case basis, taking many factors into consideration to make responsible decisions. We’re prioritizing animals in maxed out SC shelters and those that match the profile of already approved adoption applications. We have a wait list of dogs in need, and the pleas for help are pouring in daily.

We assure you we are doing everything we can to help, but simply cannot say “yes” to every animal in need right now. The problem in our state is far bigger than we can shoulder alone. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

🇬🇷 Greek Food Pups 🇬🇷

In honor of rush week, we suggested these puppies GO GREEK, but they took it into a different direction. Their names have us all eagerly awaiting Columbia's Greek Festival now!

Meet Gyro, Spanikopota, Baklava, Tzatziki, and Souvlaki! These mixed breed puppies (likely hound + lab) are approximately 3 months old. Their mom was found as a pregnant stray, and they’re now all ready to venture off into forever homes of their own!

Mare’s pups!!!!! 🐾

Incredibly, Mare was able to nurse her 5 puppies and keep them alive as she nearly starved to death from neglect. This resilient litter of cuties is doing remarkably well despite the terrible circumstances they were born into. They’re sweet, short, curious, and happy little things!!!

Our facility is currently extremely overcrowded, and we desperately want to get these babies into foster homes ASAP to be properly cared for and loved on. ❤️🏡 They deserve to experience much better than they have so far.

If you are 18+ and within driving distance of Columbia, SC, we’d love to have you foster one of these babies (or another dog in our care!). All supplies and support are provided!

🚨🚨🚨Trigger Warning: Animal Neglect Case 🚨🚨🚨

Mare’s story is one that will stick with us for a while. 💔

Neighbors reported that she was on the loose with her 5 puppies. When animal control arrived, they found Mare—emaciated, filthy, and fighting to survive. She had dug out of her outdoor kennel. The situation was worse than anticipated.

On the scene THREE other dogs were discovered deceased, padlocked to their chains. 😢

Upon investigation, they had been left for OVER A MONTH without food or care. The owner left town while Mare fought to survive and escape to save her pups. Our vet believes Mare would not have lived much longer.

Law enforcement is doing an excellent job making sure the individual responsible is held accountable.

We acted immediately, working with the authorities to get Mare (originally named Filly) to CVETS for urgent care. At first, she was scared, unsure if she could trust humans again. But it didn’t take long for her to learn that there are still good people in this world. ❤️‍🩹

Now she’s clean, safe, and fed in a loving foster home, soaking up all the belly rubs as she heals and gains weight. She’s getting happier and more comfortable by the day!

We couldn’t let Mare’s puppies stay behind at the shelter—they’re family, and they’ll all be with us soon. 🐶 While the pups will be looking for their forever homes shortly, Mare will need some extra time with us to fully recover. She is heartworm positive and will require treatment.

The vet bills for Mare have already reached over $1,600. Heartworm disease treatment for Mare will cost approximately $500. Additionally, we pay a minimum of $387 per puppy to ensure each one is medically ready for adoption.

Our total estimate for saving this family is $4,086.

We have been holding on to some AMAZING news!!!…

In January 2023, this handsome hound boy known as Lafayette (AKA Larry) came into the Fairfield shelter. Almost a year later, on December 20, 2023, we pulled him into our rescue. 🛟

In true hound fashion, he spent many days in the play yards sniffing out everything and scaring off all the squirrels!

After spending approximately HALF of his entire life in a shelter/rescue… Larry is finally HOME!!! 🏡

He was transported to his forever family in PA where he is loving life with his mom, dad, and human + canine brothers. (He did briefly try to leave them in pursuit of a groundhog, but all is well.) 😅

He’s learning how to be a family dog, showing affection to his people, and really appreciating the TREATS!

Our entire team is celebrating this long-awaited final victory!!! 🥳🐾

Thankful Thursday 🫶

Wow! We certainly hit the jackpot when we connected with Lazy Creek Pet Food Center!!!

A week ago they set up a $5 donation page to benefit the rescued animals in our care. Animal lovers rallied together, using the link to donate toward items for us.

We were able to take adoptable dog Gunter in store for a shopping spree that same day! He picked out lots of toys and chews for his buddies back at the facility. The goodies were especially loved throughout the rainy week we had. 🌧️

One week later we got a message that there were MORE donations! The generous owners of Lazy Creek and some additional donors purchased a box full of Jolly Pets balls and a box full of KONG toys for our dogs. Additionally, we got stocked up on Stella & Chewy's high-quality dinner patties… one of our favorites! 🍽️

We are blown away and so thankful.
