Gepda Rescue US We are a 501(c)(3) non profit large breed dog rescue. Specializing in Rottweilers & other working breeds.

GEPDA US Rescue is a small organization of dedicated and passionate group of people that responsibly rescues and finds homes for homeless animals, primarily Rottweiler's, but no abandoned dog is turned away. Sorry no out of state adoptions, unless you have adopted from us in the past.

Hi! We adopted Lulu via GEPDA way back in 2007. She lived a great 16 1/2 years until we said goodbye to her this weekend.

Originally she was rescued from Taiwan (!) we adopted her from Gepda US and she lived with our family in San Francisco, enjoying many adventures around town and in the mountains.

Gepda Rescue US just got the news that one of our puppies who was placed in an amazing home with Becky and Todd DeRosa years ago has crossed over the 🌈 bridge. Rest easy beautiful you were loved as much as you are going to be missed. Keep them both in your thoughts and prayers.

It's taken me some time to formulate the words to honor our beautiful, sweet girl Cyrina. She crossed the rainbow bridge on Monday, December 23rd 🌈

Cyrina was a rescue we adopted from us when she was 4 months old. She left us at a little over 11 yrs old due to an aggressive bone cancer.

The happiest girl with the best smile and best kisses. Our queen and caregiver to the pack. Miss independent, sassy and stubborn. Squirrel and deer hunter. Loved walks, road trips, cheese, french fries and peanut butter. Most of all, she loved her people and her brother Bandit so very much.

To our Cyrina girl, thank you for your endless unconditional love. We are left with broken hearts and your presence is deeply missed every single day. Run free my sweet girl🩷

Special thanks to Restful Paws and Dr. Leigh for coming to our home and for being so respectful and compassionate.

Gepda will be bringing into rescue 11 full blooded Lab puppies with mom. Mom is black and dad is chocolate. They are 4 weeks old this and we are looking for a foster is possible but we will also be taking pre adoption applications asap. Pictures to come.

Bernie, a unique canine requiring special understanding, is still seeking a permanent residence. Unfortunately, his latest potential placement did not succeed due to no fault of his own. As a grumble rumble dog, Bernie often misinterpreted as aggressive by inexperienced individuals. His repeated returns have left him feeling distressed and disoriented. An experienced owner, willing to collaborate with Bernie's trainer and provide ample time for adjustment, is urgently needed.

Bernie is back with Gepda Rescue US by no fault of his own. Bernie adopter was trying to replace a dog they had recently lost with Bernie and when Bernie did not turn out to be just like the dog they had lost Bernie was returned. We all know losing a dog is hard, but just because Rottweilers look similar to one another there personalities are different and you can not try to replace one with another, your setting both of you up for failure. When you bring a new dog into your family please remember the Rule of 3 and give your new dog and yourself time to adjust.

I met Julia Mitchell and MaryAnn 8 years ago. I rescued Azzy, but reality is she rescued me. She was my best friend and she loved me unconditionally. She filled my heart with love and happiness every day. She was my first Pittbull and although I will NEVER be able to find another as great as her, she won’t be my last. Thank for rescuing her from the pound and giving us the opportunity to love each other.
