We’ve thought long and hard about finding this filly her perfect situation, but we think it’s time! Dior is a lovely first generation De Niro filly. She could go any direction you’d like, Eventing, Dressage or even the Hunter ring. Super cute over fences, she’s willing and expressive. She’s also an absolute dressage prospect with a swinging trot, uphill with a deep step behind as well as a balanced canter and a walk with a good step under. Very correct, balanced with clean limbs and feet. She has a strong, confident personality, perfect for the show ring. Dior got a super start and then we brought her home for the winter. She’s ready to go back into training and start a full-time job. She has good ground manners, handles both stall and group life with no issues. She has a good full set of films including back and neck.

Just Dreamin’ is an ammy’s dream horse! He’s super sweet, loves his people (and everyone else lol). He has a lovely elastic walk with amazing overstep and reach. He’s incredibly through and soft in his body with swing. His trot is round, lifting with a super push. The canter is round, elevated with an excellent step under. He’s very correct, elegant and modern. Very leggy, so should suit both the lady or taller rider. He loves to talk to everyone he sees – he has the cutest baby nicker. He will be WFSS negative, both sire and dam are negative. He’s super correct in his conformation, excellent bone, joints and feet.

Jedi is the perfect dance partner for either an amateur or professional rider. He has an outstanding walk, with massive reach, moving through his body and so elastic. This boy moves like a tiger on the prowl! His canter is large, balanced with a deep step under his body. He’s got a lovely, round and lifting trot with plenty of natural expression. The results are in from our annual German Oldenburg Verband mare and foal inspection held on August 5th, 2023! We had a wonderful day with Kai Jasper Spengemann and Shirin Rupprecht as our inspectors/judges. As always, they both had terrific insights and suggestions for our program going forward. We presented 3 exciting c**ts this year from our breeding program. Arta Iranpour did a fantastic job running these pairs as always - Thank you so much for coming down!!

Giovanni (Governor x De Niro x Royal Diamond) was named Elite and Foal site Champion!! He's the Chestnut c**t with the Gray mare.

Congratulations to Jordan Wilton and her boy Wild Card HSR (Wild Dance x Davinesse (Davignon)! They finished 8th in a super competitive class for the Great American/USDF AA Second Level Championships at the 2022 GAIG/USDF Region 4 Championships. This pair has been a delight to watch as they grow together as a team. They are constantly improving both individually and are a truly wonderful pair. We can’t wait to watch them tackle their next goal! The future is exciting for this team.

Another baby from the HSR breeding program is excelling in the show ring! Jenna Upchurch (Greystoke Dressage) rode her Da Vinci HSR (De Niro x Renaissance (Royal Diamond) in the 2022 Great American/USDF Region 4 Dressage Championship Open Training level reserve championship with a 75%! This is Da Vinci first regional show, and he showed an amazing amount of maturity and confidence – watching this pair is so much fun! There are big things in the future for this team.

I’m a little late in posting this but another massive congratulations to Kate Fleming-Kuhn with Franzsis HSR (Franziskus x Simone (Sandro Hit). At the 2022 Great American/USDF Region 4 Dressage Championships, Franzsis was the Champion 2nd level open horse in an extremely competitive class, as well as the Reserve Champion in the 3rd level open class. It’s just amazing to watch this team develop. We are so thrilled to not only have bred Franzsis but we are also so proud to watch him grow into an outstanding sport horse under Kate’s program!

We couldn’t be prouder of Kate Fleming-Kuhn and Franzsis HSR (- Franziskus x Simone (Sandro Hit)! They had a wonderful U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions this year in the 6 year old young horse division. Kate bought Franzsis from us as a very young foal and has been developing him ever since – and what job she’s done! Kate and Franzsis finished 12th out of a very competitive class of the best 6-year old’s in the nation with excellent remarks. The future is so bright for these two!

This c**t is a stunning long-legged example modern breeding. He’s gorgeous, with legs for days. His trot is balanced, correct and massive with a huge knees and a stunning ability to sit. His canter is super with uphill, round with super joint flexion and ability to push. His walk shows good joint articulation, fluid and flexible over his back. He’s quite correct in her conformation, rectangular and modern. This is a potential stallion prospect for the right program; this c**t is pleasant to be around with a super kind mind. This is the first cross with Valverde for his dam and it’s an amazing one! He’s an excellent young horse prospect with a bright future. He will be WFSS negative, both sire and dam are negative. He’s lovely to handle, easy to be around, very curious and intelligent. He’s very confident and owns his space in the ring.

Valverde is an exciting young stallion who has very powerful quarters, which together with a short, strong back and a very good hindleg, he has a lot of forward thrust and spring in his movement. His paces are very balanced and rideable, with all three gaits being good quality.

This gorgeous filly is a top prospect for the serious dressage rider. She has a stunning lightness and natural suspension that shows off her ability to just float. She has 3 super gaits with an extremely well-balanced trot, powerful, uphill with reach and knees for days. Her canter is bold with tremendous reach and ability to sit. Shenandoah perfect junior rider or petite ammy prospect with good potential to work up the levels. She is brave, bold, forward and has personality to spare! She’s showing training level, ready to show 1st. Her first show was Dressage at Flintridge in May 2022; she showed both T1 and T2, easily winning 2 of her Open training level classes with a 70.192 and a 73.103. Shenandoah is very willing, comfortable with a good feeling. She’s soft in the jaw, easy in the bridle with good contact. She’s able to take a joke and is happy to try new skills for her rider. She is very confident and comfortable in her own skin. She has a super temperament, easy going and very fun to be around (she loves to cuddle)! We finally managed to get some pictures of our Vitalis x Royal Diamond x Furst Heinrich filly. We couldn't be more pleased with this repeat cross (her full brother was a stallion prospect and foal of distinction at his GOV inspection). This filly is super sweet, easy to be around and loves attention but with enough sass for the showring! She's got an incredible hind leg with tons of power (even though she's quite butt high right now lol) with good elevation. We are so excited about her future!

Hidden Springs Ranch in Southern California is proud to announce our class of 2022! We are expecting 7 foals in late spring from some of the top international Grand Prix bloodlines. We had a wonderful Oldenburg GOV Mare and Foal inspection on Monday, October 11th during a full fledge windstorm! These mares and foals handled 40 an hour wind gusts, tumbleweeds and a canopy that wanted to audition as the house from the Wizard of Oz with aplomb! We presented 3 foals: 2 fillies and 1 c**t. All three were premium with both fillies showing off exceptionally well and earning Elite!! Shown in pictures, Faygo Pop HSR (Fidertanz x Bellisimo M, owned by Jamie Pruyt) chestnut filly, Deep Magic HSR (Dream Boy x Sir Donnerhall), dk. bay c**t and Total Fortune (Total Hope x Fidertanz), black filly.

We also presented 2 mares; Bel Reve (Dream Boy x Bellissimo M) and Femme Fatale (Franklin x Sandro Hit) for the main mare book. Both mares easily earned a spot, with Femme’s scores mostly 8.5’s!

Lastly, our 5-year-old Fackletanz mare, Fait Accompli, completed her mare test and earned her Special Premium Mare Candidate title!! She is trained by Charni Lewis and was piloted by Shirin Amier for the test. Her scores were outstanding considering the environmental challenges presented by doing an inspection in the mountains in October! Fait had her first foal last year (Fidertanz x Fackletanz – unfortunately she couldn’t be inspected since she was born in a covid year) and is expecting a Valverde for 2022.

This filly is extremely correct, has 3 good gaits and is balanced through her body. She is showing us a lovely uphill canter, round trot with good flexion through her hocks and drive from behind. Her walk is outstanding – one of the best I’ve ever seen in foal. She uses her entire body, with incredible articulation. She stays balanced in all three gaits with an ease of movement. She’s bred to be a top dressage horse; her bloodlines are some of the best in the world with talent, rideability and quality. She has an amazing temperament for such a youngster, very interested in people and the world around her. She has been easy to handle and teach. Board is included until weaned (typically around 6 months) as well as registration and presentation for the German Oldenburg Verband. Her registration will also include her lifetime USEF #! She is located in Southern California.

Her Sire, Fidertanz became Champion Stallion of the North Rhine-Westphalian (NRW) stallion licensing, and the winner of his stallion performance test in 2005. In 2006 he became Vice Bundeschampion in Germany, and was named a Main Premium winner set new standards in the dressage ring early on. More than 400 offspring of Fidertanz are successful in sport, a fact that placed their sire again among the best rideability-sires of Germany according to FN's estimated breeding value statistic. Managed to grab a few pictures of our Fidertanz x Belissimo M x Sir Donnerhall filly today. This filly is going to make someone very happy!! She's super athletic, very correct and extremely charming. Looking for a unicorn? No need to import, we have your tall, dark and handsome gelding right here! Monty’s been under saddle for 5 months and is showing real promise in his work. He has an amazing work ethic, is the same horse every day and is driven to please. He’s schooling training level and is ready for more!

Monty’s canter is lovely; balanced with super push and step under. His walk and trot are also lovely; very cadenced and relaxed with good power. He’s extremely well balanced for such a young horse under saddle; his basics are developing beautifully. He also has a good jump through the chute; extremely rhythmic, balanced and even knees. Monty has a good set of recent x-rays of his hocks, stifles and front feet.

This gelding is a super choice for the ammy rider or trainer looking for an FEI prospect. He as a remarkable temperament; steady and sweet. He adores people and is a barn favorite. No vices, no behavioral issues, this gelding is ready for a new best friend.

It's been so busy around here I just realized I didn't post our last foal of the year - Total Hope (Totalis) x Fidertanz. Fortuna gave us a stunning filly!
Bay, 4 white socks and a tiny star - this little gal is a carbon copy of her dam. She's super sweet, very brave and bold (and best of all, she can dance!!)
