CCAS: Colorado Companion Animal Sanctuary Mission: To provide sanctuary and rehab for unadoptable cats with a good QOL, and help with rehoming when time permits.

CCAS provides sanctuary to special needs cats that are considered unadoptable. The types of special needs vary - neurological, musculoskeletal, issues related to aging and emotional/behavioral. Whatever their needs, all the cats have manageable conditions and good quality of life.

Chan learning ways to maneuver the catio. He was about a year old. Just got the catio and cat fencing 9 months after we moved to the mountains and started CCAS. Unfortunately, it was all lost 7 months later in a house fire. 😢 Not to worry... We are setup again.!

It usually feels inhumane to trap Cyndi in a box for 10-15 minutes to get a nebulizer treatment...several days in a row. Unless you know how much distress it causes her to get even the slightest medical assistance, I can't begin to explain. Her guttural yowl is gut wrenching to me. But - I bought a mini- nebulizer that is whisper quiet instead of the big one she has that sounds like a baby MRI machine, found the perfect sized see through tote, and loaded her up with Churus - it was soooo much better for her. I also sing songs I make up while she's in there.🙄 #mygirl #Cinderella #CyndiLauper #specialneedscatsrock

Sad news for us and the CCAS family. Our loving, playful, beautiful Luma died during the night. I found her lying peacefully in her bed yesterday when I went to feed her. The necropsy found no obvious cause of death. Godspeed, sweet girl❤️
