It is officially the holiday season! 🎄🎀
It has been a tough year, for so so many. We are grateful that despite some major 2024 challenges, we made it to the end of the year with our home and health intact. But we are definitely falling short in supplies and special needs for these guys.
The Animals of Xanadu have a special wish this year-to each receive a special item or two off their own WishLists to fill their stockings and make their holidays extra special. Chevy needs a new collar & lead and some Selenium supplements for him and his goat friends. He is also requesting his favorite treat-graham crackers! He is also looking for a sponsor for 2025 to help feed his and pay for his regular farrier services and vet care throughout the year. Can you treat his to just one item off his list?

Xanadu is a 501c3 Non Profit organization. We rely solely on the generosity of our donors. With you, these kids wouldn't be here. Without you, they couldn't eat.
Today all donations are being matched dollar for dollar. In other words, one $6 donations doesn't buy one bale of hay--it buys 2!
These guys go through 6 bales of hay a day in the Winter. That's $1000/month. And as we rescue more, that expense just goes up.

Oh baby! Actually, babies!
Look closely, and you'll spot northern fur seal pups resting in a cove, hiding from hungry great white sharks, as they wait for their mothers to return from the sea to nurse. Taken at the Farallon Islands National Wildlife Refuge, the Farallon Islands host one of only two fur seal rookeries south of Alaska. Pups are born in June-August and most are weaned by late November, when they head to sea on their own. Northern fur seals were exterminated from the Farallones in the early 19th century by seal hunters. They returned in 1996 after over 150 years of absence and have been increasing dramatically ever since.

It's $3 Thursday! And guess what? All donations are STILL MATCHED. Our generous donor is matching all donations from Thanksgiving through Giving Tuesday through Dec 1th. So we're making a push to really double those donations as we are in desperate need of hay to get us through the winter. We will use approximately $3500 of Hay through the winter months, so we will really need your help.

It’s $5 Friday!!! And we have a special request. Throw that $5 in a Christmas card and mail to the Xanadu rescue of your choice! Our rescues, especially the goats and cows LOVE getting mail. We can’t make a trip down the hill Without them looking To see how many packages and pieces of mail are just for them.
