Winston is doing better than when he first came home. He still has not eaten anything but at least he is able to swim now. Please keep him in your prayers!

How I fell in love with these little fish...

One day I was living alone and I wasn't allowed to have any pets (except for a betta fish), I was so lonely. I decided to get a baby female betta and I named her Frannie. We became very close. Her tank was right next to my bed and each morning when I woke up she would greet me. I taught her how to swim through hoops and jump out of the water. Then one day she got very sick, she developed dropsy. I researched everything I could to try and save her and after some Epsom salt baths and medicine and a bunch of love, she was healthy again. I had her for a long time until she died of old age. Then I moved to Oklahoma and I bought a big red, white, and Blue male betta fish. I named him Mr.MakeItRain...or just Rain for short. He lived at the shop in a 15 gallon heated, filtered tank. He lived to be four years old. I miss him so much, he had such a pure heart. Now my current betta, Joseph, has inspired me to start a betta fish rehab/rescue.
