A BIG congratulations to Sophia and the rest of the DeVault family on the purchase of Designer (Desi) ! We have loved this talented OTTB girl being in our barn and has been such a pleasure. This one is finally getting a proper introduction!

Meet: 💨BREEZY💨

This is our rescued 2 year old bay filly we adopted over a year ago from a feed lot in Nevada.

When we found her, we had no clue how severe her fear towards people was. She had never been handled by anyone before arriving at our ranch, and telling by her fear, any interaction with a person could not have been a pleasant one. Up until the last few weeks, we could only help her feel comfortable enough to take a cookie or food from our hands. We thought we may never be able to handle her.

We came up with one last idea to see if we can get her to feel comfortable and confident with people, and really become a member of this ranch.

Two weeks into a new approach of gaining her trust, and here we are. Following her designated person around the property for a peaceful, calm stroll, grazing on some rich grass, and getting some chin scratches❤️.

Thank you sweet girl for giving us a chance and opening your heart despite your troubles and unfortunate beginning of life.

Keep an eye out for further updates on this little cutie and see what the future holds for her!🦄

ISO of a barn assistant!!! My current superstar is wanting to cut back her hours and travel more. Could be 6 days per week- Tuesday through Friday evenings only and all day Saturday and Sunday - OR weekends only. Feeding, turning horses in and out, blanketing and unblanketing, mucking, lunging, trail riding/exercising horses, etc. Must have riding experience and be able to handle horses on the ground effectively. Pay depends on experience $17 - $20/hr. 20-30 hours per week if taking weekday evenings and weekend shifts. PM me!

We are so thrilled to have our team members back on site and doing their ranch thing!!! Valerie Ackerman is heading up this gang of OA Outlaws!!!

Next week we get the big horses out for a refresher course on proper handing and safety rules. Couple weeks and will have our crew back in the saddle!

Sections available at each height 2’6, 3’ and 3’6+ , stabling, one auditor per rider, breakfast and lunch included in price. $650 per horse, auditing $35 per day or $60 for the weekend, food available to purchase for auditors. We have the best clients here at BTH💙 As many of you know our location, Opportunity Acres, runs a day program and high school for young people and adults with autism... we love and appreciate all of the OA staff, students and families who allow us to operate our training program here!! The students bring so much to our barn life and are instrumental in the daily operations and care of the horses💙
