Unconditional devotion. Our pets are treasured family and they fill our hearts.
I’m a local artist in Interlochen. My passion for painting and understanding this special bond with our fur babies blend to become “Paint and Slobbers.” I began this business at the urging of a bull dog puppy. His name is Winston and I just HAD to paint his portrait. Thus, my freelance hand painted portraits biz was born.
These portraits make for unique and personal gifts... birthday, holiday, or even a heartfelt “in memory” gift. Everyone has photos. Paint is what makes the Mona Lisa, well... “the Mona Lisa.” Painted portraits have represented kings and beloveds for decades and are passed down thru the family. There just is something revered about a painted portrait.
Each original portrait is hand painted, on stretched canvas, ready to frame or hang. You provide a few photos and I work to bring the texture and movement of the paint to life with a focal point of their eyes, were we see that pure love and devotion. Portraits take typically 2 weeks but I can make a rush order happen. I offer a range of sizes and can give you a quote of the different sizes via phone or FB messenger.
