We are sorry to Sweet Dream House Rescue and to Pepperoni's foster, he was a great boy and we will all miss him.

Run free Pepperoni. We are sad to share the news that we had to say goodbye to Pepperoni today. This sweet beagle boy came to us after being hit by a car and landing in a rural shelter screaming in pain. He had a broken leg which did not require surgery, just a cast. But we discovered that the boy also had a spinal injury which caused him a great deal of pain. He was not a good candidate for surgery given the type of injury. Instead we worked on pain management including pain meds, laser treatment and acupuncture. Ultimately there was nothing that could relieve his suffering so we made the difficult decision to let him go. Please keep his foster family in your thoughts. They loved Pepperoni dearly and made sure the last three months of his life were the best he ever knew. We do our best for every animal in our care and we don't give up easily, but Pepperoni's suffering was only getting worse and we knew it was time to let go.

Say hello to Pepperoni, he was hit by a car in October and left at a shelter. Sweet Dream House Rescue pulled him from the shelter and he has been coming in for laser therapy a couple of times every week since. He has had a long painful recovery, and is still not 100%, but he has an absolutely amazing foster that has been so patient and caring with him! He is hanging out with us here today for a while and enjoying pupperoni treats!
