🐾 Meet Maya — an 8-year-old Black Lab/Beagle mix in Brooklyn who’s navigating a lot of recent life changes. A new baby, a move back to New York, and her humans returning to work have all added stress to her routine, and her separation anxiety has really spiked.

Her family reached out to Bark Busters Brooklyn to help her feel secure again, and during our first lesson we started rebuilding structure, confidence, and calm routines.

We’re teaching Maya how to settle when left alone, break those destructive habits, walk politely on leash, and ignore the “floor buffet” created by a very generous toddler.

She’s a sweet, smart girl who just needed clarity and leadership — and she’s already showing great progress. Proud of her and proud of her people for stepping in early.

Meet Hades—and despite the name, this guy is anything but intimidating. 😄🔥

From the moment I walked in, it was clear he’s actually a big sweetie who just needed some guidance to bring out his best. During our lesson in Staten Island, we worked on building structure, boosting his focus, and helping him understand what his family is asking of him.

Hades responded beautifully. With clear communication and calm leadership, he settled right in and showed just how eager he is to learn. I’m excited to keep working with him and watch this gentle giant continue to shine.

🐾 Meet Oakley — an 11-week-old Mini Goldendoodle from Staten Island who may be tiny at just 4 lbs, but his personality is already full-sized.

Like most young pups, Oakley came with the classic starter-pack challenges: nipping, mouthing, potty training, and lots of “pay attention to me!” behavior. He’s been with his family for just two weeks, and they’re already doing the right thing by getting guidance early while he’s still learning how the world works.

During our first lesson, we focused on teaching Oakley how to communicate without using his teeth, building a solid house-training routine, and showing him how to settle calmly whether he’s in his crate or playpen. These early habits form the foundation for a well-mannered dog for life — and Oakley is off to a great start.

Excited to watch this little fluff ball grow into a confident, well-behaved companion!

🐾 Meet Ovechkin & Layla — two German Shepherds from Staten Island who are now working with me to create a safer, calmer home for everyone. 💚

After an incident in October where Ovechkin bit the family’s toddler, their owners reached out for help — not to give up on him, but to understand what happened and prevent it from ever happening again. These situations are scary, but they’re also fixable with structure, boundaries, and clear communication.

Both dogs are smart, loyal, and capable. With the right leadership and changes in routine, we’re already seeing progress and building a safer environment for their whole family — toddler included. 🙌

Mila is a beautiful Irish Mini Goldendoodle from Staten Island who’s working on feeling more comfortable around people. Her family wants her to enjoy life to the fullest — even attending a wedding next year — so we’re focused on reducing reactivity, building trust, and creating positive experiences.
