Leash Repair!

I think of myself as The Full Service Dog Trainer in Yamhill County! 🤗🐾❤️ Now before we bunch our panties, I say it just for giggles! I'm funny and there is so much more to dog training, like helpful friendships, stewarding resources, etc. 😉

For instance, once a client asked if I could pick up some celery en route to a toe nail clipping appointment! Well, of course I can! 🤣

Another SuperPower is leather leash repair!

Generally there is no charge and I might be able to do it on the spot.

Also, if you have leather leashes that you are done with, please consider donating them to me. I often have students that can use a little help and as well as youth in YC 4-H Dog projects.

Mistakes help in so many ways. Are you in the game?

Perfection is the enemy of launch.

I hate mistakes. Hate them.

But if I am unwilling to risk mistakes, I am unwilling to publish, produce, or create anything.

I make more mistakes than most people make attempts.

Maybe that's why I cross so many finish lines.

Run with excellence. Give your best effort, your best allocation of resources, your best everything. Then pull the trigger, knowing it won't be perfect.

Mistakes are proof you got in the game.

I'm glad the dog was safe,

aaaaaannnnnd,

this rescue, that involved a Coast Guard helicopter, was completely preventable.

There is a leash law for nearly every square inch of public lands. There are very few exceptions. The exceptions usually require Voice Control, which most folks only think they have.

Hubby lost track of his phone today.

He said, "Babe, would you call me?"

So I hollered from across the room, "Bert! Come!"

Best eye watering, belly aching, nearly piddling, laugh I've had in ages!!!

Oh, then I rang up his phone!

He's such a good sport!

What is one thing that is currently very beneficial for this little ol' guy?
Trimmed Toenails! It's refreshing to see his nails nice and short. Proper length helps dogs navigate slick surfaces better! Reduces slipping, sliding, skating, pancaking, repeated attempts to get up, etc.

Fergus came in for his Librela shot. This has made him start to feel young again . It works wonders on the older pups

Did you know that when I was training in the BOHO Building on First Street, I had 17 classes per week, and taught 14 of them?! The other three classes were taught by contractors and I subbed in when necessary.

Annie, Ezra and Meatloaf are rockin' the Rally Ring!

Ezra was a brat this morning and NQ'd for tight leash and his head wasn't in the game this morning. To his credit, their is a b***h in heat at his house.

This afternoon they qualified in Intermediate with a 92 and won first place!!

Meatloaf had a qualifying run with a 96. She earned her Rally Novice title and placed 4th.

Congratulations, Annie! You've and your kids have worked so hard! I am extremely proud of you!

So proud of these teams! Annie, with Ezra and Meatloaf. Megan and Nitro. Annie and Ezra earned their Rally Novice title! Megan and Nitro achieved their RN including a first placement!

Annie and Meatloaf also got two qualifying scores for her first two legs in RN!!

So happy for you! Looking forward to more Q's and Meatloaf's RN tomorrow!

What's on my mind? Puppy breath! That's what's on my mind! What a special home visit with Elvis (black) and Puddin (sesame or sable)! ChiWeenies!!! They are 6-8 weeks old and mama wants to help them get started on the right paw!
