Sarge's AKC German Shepherds Breeding & Training German Shepherds were a great love of Sarge. There is currently a litter of puppies needing homes. However, they are first and foremost a herding breed.

The German Shepherd Dog is perhaps best known as the strong, courageous and obedient dog, valued for its tenacity, intelligence, loyalty and focus. German Shepherds make outstanding loyal and loving family members. I am Dennis Cox, AKA "Sarge" Owner & Operator of "Sarge's AKC German Shepherd Breeding & Training." I am a Certified Dog Trainer who works with dogs that need Behavior Modification Trai

ning; Basic Obedience Training; and Fear Based Aggression Extinction.. I am also a registered AKC German Shepherd breeder. Our next litter is due to be whelped toward the end of July 2017. All of our litters go through a 12 week training course, acclimating them to all kinds of sounds, lighting and environments. Being held by many people of all statures, introduced to children and introduced to strange dogs. The first 12 weeks of a German Shepherd puppy's life is the most critical time of their life, for their future development. If they are not abused, and protected from fearful situations & go through our 12 week training course, they should never have any aggressive issues or any other temperament problems for the rest of their life, barring lack of training and abuse. I do house calls for all of my Behavior Modification, Obedience Training and Rehabilitation & Extinction of Fear Based Aggression. Sometimes a situation presents itself where we must bring your canine to our dog park and training facility for part of the Rehabilitation. Update: She has a family!

We are down to one last puppy from the January litter. We call her "Sage" (purple collar). She is such a smart sweet girl and we are truly surprised she hasn't found a home yet. For anyone looking for a German Shepherd dog, she would make a wonderful member of your family.

UPDATE: He has a home!

Final puppy highlight for the weekend. The white collar male "Yosemite" is a calm personable fellow. Loves being with his siblings and the human family as well. He has nice traditional German Shepherd markings and we presume will be in the 70 lb. range with standard short coat.

Update: She has a home!

Puppy highlight number two. The yellow collar female, "Meadow", loves to play--with puppies and humans alike. As with all the puppies, she'll be vet checked, chipped, wormed, and immunized to date. AKC registered litter. She'll make a great asset to a family looking for a German Shepherd.

Here is the first puppy to highlight today. She is wearing a purple collar. She is a cuddle bug and loves to crawl up in our laps and we affectionately call her Sage for the time being. At four weeks, she weighs 6.2 lbs and is bright and alert. She'll be ready for her new home starting March 8th or beyond. PM for more information on bringing this beautiful girl into your family.

Puppies are healthy and growing every day. We weigh them twice a week to make sure all of them are getting good nutrition from their momma. Here are a couple of sweet pics. There are four wonderful puppies left to find homes, Yosemite (male), Denali (male), Meadow (female) and Sage (female). PM us for more information.

Puppy update. They are all growing so quickly and doing well. Two female pups are already spoken for, so please let us know if you're thinking about one of the other two females or the two males. Momma takes wonderful care of the puppies.

Laila brought six puppies into the world on Friday, January 11th. We are looking for families for these wonderful puppies.

TRAIN YOUR DOG PROPERLY BESIDES HAVING A WELL BEHAVED DOG AROUND THE HOUSE WE WANT EVERYONE TO APPRECIATE THE HARD WORK WE PUT INTO TRAINING OUR PETS AND ALSO WE WANT EVERYONE TO LOVE OUR DOG LIKE WE DO. *** THE ONE THING I HAVE LEARNED TRAINING DOGS FOR MY CUSTOMERS IS GETTING THEM TO DO THE WORK AND FOR THEM TO STICK WITH IT UNTIL THEIR PET HAS LEARNED THE BEHAVIOR THEY ARE TRYING TO TEACH IT. ***. THERE ARE NO MAGICAL FORMULAS (like so many trainers advertise on the internet) THAT IN MINUTES YOU CAN TRAIN YOUR DOG TO WALK ON A LEASH, POTTY TRAIN, SIT, DOWN, HEEL, STAY...ETC... THIS IS NOT TRUE BECAUSE A PUPPY OR DOG HASN'T FINISHED LEARNING A BEHAVIOR UNTIL IT HAS BEEN GENERALIZED WITH MANY DISTRACTIONS. GENERALIZATION OF ANY BEHAVIOR TAKES TIME; PATIENCE & CONSISTENCY. WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT NO BEHAVIOR IS TOTALLY LEARNED UNTIL IT HAS BEEN TAKEN OUTDOORS WITH LOTS OF DISTRACTIONS AND THEY CAN STILL PERFORM WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO IN THAT TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT WITHOUT ANY TREATS OR LURES. JUST BECAUSE ROVER CAN DO A BEHAVIOR FOR YOU INSIDE YOUR LIVING ROOM ISN'T A GUARANTEE THAT HE CAN DO IT @ WALMART UNTIL THE BEHAVIOR HAS BEEN GENERALIZED. WHEN PEOPLE ASK ME HOW DID I GET MY DOGS TO DO SO MANY THINGS, MY RESPONSE IS TIME AND PATIENCE. SO IF YOU WANT A WELL MANNERED DOG WORK WITH THEM UNTIL THE BEHAVIOR IS GENERALIZED. FYI - If you want to teach your pup tricks that's great but not until they have learned Basic Obedience. HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GIVE YOUR PET A HUG FOR ME!
