A Little Backstory
Hi Friends! My name is Makenna Moore and I have been passionate about animals since I was a little girl. In addition to growing up with the normal list of childhood pets - cats, dogs, hamsters, fish - my mom rehabilitated orphaned squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits. I loved caring for animals and that passion only grew with age.
As a teenager, I almost lost my Bernese Jasmine to kennel cough. She contracted it while we were on vacation, after being boarded at our vet’s office. The worry I’ve felt boarding pets in the past, and the stress of unfamiliar surroundings on them, detracted from the enjoyment of vacations and holidays.
To be able to leave your pet in their own home where they are comfortable eliminates the stress on them and the hassle and worry of boarding on you. It’s not always easy or convenient however to ask your friends or family to make the commitment to care for them.
I’ve been caring for my family and friend’s pets in their homes for more than 10 years now, and would love the opportunity to meet with you and discuss caring for your pets as well! Your pet’s comfort and your peace of mind are our number one priority at At Home Pet Care.
