This guy has amazing features, beautiful blue eyes that are perfectly outlined. Additionally, Kobi is sweet and affectionate and loves nothing more than a good belly rub and a comfy bed. While he looks like a raging wolf, Nanook is just being silly. 😍 He also has the tendency to jump the fence, so his pet parents made this elaborate outside tethering contraption where he can still get all his energy out while being confined. (And his sitter, Alexis, doesn’t have to chase him again in the next yard over…😅)

📢🐈‍⬛ We want to hear from you! The Prince William SPCA would like to hear from the public and key stakeholders about their thoughts on community (feral) cats. We are encouraging all areas of the community to take part in the survey. This effort will not be “for or against” community cats. The goal is to establish a means to listen to feedback, bring everyone to the table, and come up with real solutions in our local community. The survey data will be a starting point that we hope will be used to create a local coalition to work on this initiative.

All data collected will remain confidential and responses can be anonymous. For the purposes of this survey, a community cat is defined as a “feral” or “unowned” living outside in the community.

These lovely ladies are decked out waiting for a Valentine date. Hazel and her best friend Clover are a heartwarming bonded pair of seniors looking for their forever home together. At 10 and 11 years old, Hazel and Clover have shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Their bond is truly something special. They are both very gentle, affectionate, and housebroken. It is important to note that Hazel has been seen by a veterinarian previously for hip pain that is likely arthritis, which may need management going forward. Despite this, she is still quite lively and active for her age. She loves to play and carry around her favorite toys. Do you have a barn (or warehouse, shed, brewery, winery or other such place) in need of some working cats? Do you know someone who does?

Ziggy is one of over 20 cats who are looking for an outdoor environment to join! These cats came into our shelters when their guardian was no longer able to care for them. Since they are unsocial towards humans, they much prefer to be outdoors doing their job than indoors getting pets! You provide the outdoor home, food and water and they provide the natural pest deterrent.

Head over to fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt-cat and look for the profiles marked "working cat,” or stop by either of our shelters: Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Rd.) or Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Rd.). We're open today until 5 p.m.!

Impressions of Christmas Petsitting. 🎄🎅🏽🐾 My awesome sitters and I were out and about today, caring for many pets, so their pet parents could enjoy their holiday away from home. As a bonus, we saw an owl in the woods! 🦉
