Happy pride!! 🏳️‍🌈
I grew up a Jehovah's witness and spent most of my younger years in Arkansas, so being q***r wasn't exactly seen as a positive thing. I told myself and everyone else that I was a cis-het man, even though I knew in my heart that I wasn't.
I didn't fully realize that I was q***r and agender until my mid-30s, and it has been a struggle to unlearn the shame and fear.
Thankfully, my family has been supportive of me and yesterday I had an amazing time celebrating pride with my partner and a few other q***rs at the gay beach. I finally feel like I'm my authentic self and I'm where I belong

Honeybear and I went on a trip to Loyola to finish putting up posters for the acrocats show, which will be starting up again Thursday and running through Sunday! You can't see him that well, but he's meowing at me from inside his new backpack, which has a tinted window along with lots of venting, a built-in fan, and an interior light!

The Amazing Acro-cats need your help!! Last night I had the pleasure of volunteering for the acro-cats again after a long 3 years where they were not able to make it home to Chicago.
In this short clip, you'll see the Rock Cats warming up for their show, but there are also lots of other extraordinary tricks to behold!

Because it's been a while and because of several other hardships, they are struggling to fill the seats and to find volunteers.
So how can you help?
Buy a ticket to one of their shows tonight, tomorrow, or next week Thursday through Sunday!
You can buy tickets at Rockcatsrescue.org or the link in my bio.

They also need volunteers to help with various things before, during, and after their shows, which includes not only a free ticket to the show, but backstage access and a chance to meet all of the sweeties up close!
You'll find the volunteer sign up link at rockcatsrescue.org as well. Reach out to me if you have any trouble finding anything!

Today I took my sweet Honeybear on a walk to my partner's place, where he met Precious for the first time through the window and it went surprisingly well! Not all cats enjoy going on walks and most are not thrilled to encounter strange cats, but my bear is a special boy 😻

For the last week I enjoyed dropping by to take care of my sweet friend Luna while her guardian was out of town 😻

Got to meet these three sweethearts today! The last one is Charlie, who currently has to be kept separate from the rest of the cats because he has stitches after an incident where he took the bullying of his older buddy, Grayson, a bit too far!

We're working on some ways to lower Charlie's anxiety, reduce any feelings of competition between the cats, and repair their strained relationships!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Albus, along with his brother, Severus, and their pal, Bilius! They were all such sweethearts and although Albus and Bili sometimes have arguments, I have high hopes that they will get along better after our time together!

Just got the phone call from my vet confirming that poor Fern has ovarian remnant syndrome, which has been causing her to go into heat sporadically, despite having been neutered. She's going to need exploratory surgery for this which really upsets and worries me for her. 😿 I'm hoping to get it done laparoscopically and we're crossing our paws her insurance will cover it because money is tight and this ain't gonna be cheap. It's cost me a few hundo in tests already 💸

Unfortunately, it's been a rough few days for me and Ralphie. His phosphorus levels spiked which caused him to have issues walking and some incontinence. He's slowly getting better with all of the treatment I've been giving him, but I bought him some reusable diapers anyway so he can be a little less messy. The thing is, he got very happy the second I put them on and has been snuggling me since 😭😭😭😻😻😻 Send good energies our way please!
