We began our rescue mission in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina by aiding dogs that were left homeless by the storm. Since then, our outreach has grown to heights we never imagined. Now we are rescuing puppy mill dogs, bai

t dogs used in dog-fighting, and hundreds of dogs from shelters—often moments away from euthanasia. We currently deliver pet food and supplies to more than 48 elderly people living in poverty—and pay for their dogs’ medical bills, too. We have rescued dogs from junkyards and shelters, freed animals chained to trees and living in small cages, and saved abandoned pets living on the streets. Danny & Ron’s Rescue is unlike any other rescue organization. Because testing an abused or neglected dog can only recover and learn to trust again when it is in a loving home, Danny and Ron have turned their own house into the ultimate safe haven. There, they personally care for injured and abused animals until they are ready for adoption. Each dog receives a wellness check from our veterinarian, is then spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, groomed, and loved. But most important, each dog is treated like part of the family, fed organic dog food from its own bowl, and even allowed to sleep in the bed. The opportunity to live with humans and other dogs in a real home environment is the best way to prepare a dog for adoption and a life with a loving family. We are also proud to be one of the only organizations that does not charge a pre-set adoption fee and instead relies on an affordable donation from the adopter.

🐕 Luna isn’t one for drama—she’s happy to coexist peacefully with other dogs, but prefers her own space. She’s wonderful on leash, enjoys calm walks, and recently discovered the joy of squeaky toys (though she’s still deciding how much fun they are 😉).
What Luna needs most is a kind, patient home where she can blossom at her own pace. If you’re looking for a calm, low-key companion who will quietly stay by your side, Luna might be your perfect match. 🐾✨

🐶 Meet Rusty—our scruffy senior gentleman with a gentle heart. Rusty came to us with his pals Bud and Sunny when their owner could no longer care for them. Life may look and sound a little different for Rusty these days—his hearing and eyesight aren’t what they used to be—but his sweet soul shines bright. ✨💛
Rusty is calm, kind, and gets along well with people, other dogs, and even cats. He’s happiest being held and snuggled, soaking up love in the safety of your arms. 💕 He’s not much for long walks anymore, but that just makes him the perfect lap dog and quiet companion.
This older boy is looking for a patient, loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness. If you’re searching for a loyal little soul who will love you endlessly, Rusty might just be your guy. 🐾

🐾 Hi, I’m Minnow! I may be a shy little soul, but I’m ready for my fresh start. 💛
I came to Danny & Ron’s Rescue from a hoarding situation with a few other dogs. Life before was crowded and confusing, and I didn’t know much about love or care. On top of that, I was battling heartworm — but thanks to the amazing team here, I’ve completed treatment and am now healthy and heartworm-free!

I’m still very timid and the world feels a bit overwhelming at times. What I need most is a calm, patient person who will give me the time and space to learn that I’m safe. Once I start to trust, you’ll see my sweet and gentle heart shine through. 🥹💖

I do well with other dogs and often find comfort in their company, so having a kind canine friend would be wonderful.

🌸 Meet Summer 🌸

Hi, my name is Summer. I may be tiny and scruffy, but I’ve been through a big journey in my young life. I came to Danny & Ron’s Rescue emaciated, exhausted, and trying to care for puppies I didn’t have the strength to raise. Thankfully, the kind people here made sure my little ones were safe and gave me the care I desperately needed. 💕
Since then, I’ve been slowly gaining weight and feeling stronger every day. My body is healing—and now my heart is, too. I’m still shy, and the world can feel a little scary, but being around other dogs helps me relax and feel safe. 🐾
I do best with patient, gentle people who understand I may take a little time to trust. With love and reassurance, I know I’ll blossom into the sweet, loyal companion I long to be. 🌟

🌟 URGENT: Help Us Save Bell 🌟

She’s only 3 pounds. Just a baby—under a year old—and already fighting for her life.

Bell was surrendered to a shelter after testing positive for Parvo, a highly contagious and deadly virus. With no resources to treat her, she was hours from euthanasia.

Then we saw her tiny face… and we couldn’t say no.
“Yes. We’ll fight for her.”

Now Bell is in intensive care, receiving IV fluids, antibiotics, anti-nausea meds, pain relief, and strict quarantine. She’s getting everything she needs to survive—but she can’t do it alone.

💔 Parvo is brutal, but with fast, aggressive treatment, dogs can recover. Bell is fighting. We’re fighting. But we need your help.

Hi, I’m Bud—a little scruffy terrier mix with a big heart that’s still learning how to trust. 🐾 I came to Danny & Ron’s Rescue with my pals Rusty and Sunny after our owner could no longer care for us.
I’m naturally a quiet, timid soul who prefers to watch from the sidelines until I feel safe. People are still something I’m getting used to—I just need gentle care, time, and patience to learn that hands reaching for me mean love. 💕
🐶 Having other dogs around makes me so much braver, so I’ll do best in a home with a confident doggie friend who can show me the ropes.
🚶 Leash walking is still a little confusing for me, but I’m trying! With calm encouragement, I’ll get there one day.
I may not be the boldest, but if you give me patience and kindness, I’ll give you quiet loyalty and a heart that wants so badly to trust again. 🌟
