Hello! We are Rick and Patricia Crosier and we are the faces behind Blue River Goldens. We have been breeding AKC registered Golden Retrievers for over 30 years. We feel very blessed to live on farmland near Beatrice, Nebraska that has been in our family since 1902. The Big Blue River runs right through our property giving our Goldens access to run and play in the river. The most important thing in our lives is our family. We have 4 married children and 9 amazing grandchildren. Between our busy family and our golden retrievers, we manage to stay active and enjoy life.
Blue River Goldens produces both stunning English Creams and beautiful traditional Goldens. We currently have 3 breeding males and 4 females all of which have incredible blood lines. Our main purpose is to provide well tempered, loving, attractive and most importantly healthy puppies for people who will love them like a family member. Our amazing Goldens have all passed their health certifications for hips, elbows and eyes. They are also never breed until they are 2 years old, which is suggested by the AKC’s responsible breeding guidelines.
BRG goes above and beyond to ensure the health of our puppies and cares about the health of the breed as a whole. We are proud to have 3 of our Goldens enrolled in a lifetime study with the Morris Animal Research Foundation. This Golden Retriever Study is one of the largest, most comprehensive prospective canine health studies in the United States. The study’s purpose is to identify the nutritional, environmental, lifestyle and genetic risk factors for cancer and other diseases in dogs. Each year, with the help of veterinarians and dog owners like us, the Foundation collects health, environmental and behavioral data on 3,000+ enrolled golden retrievers. Results from the study provide comprehensive data on diseases and other health challenges, including cancer. The findings are then used as launching points for multiple health studies in dogs.
We hope to share our love for this incredible breed with you! We would love to meet you and your family! Please feel free to give us a call!
