🥰 Are you all ready for some sweetness?🥰

Meet the adorable Trixie!

This sweet little six-year-old girl sadly finds herself in need of a new forever home. We do not know a lot about her background other than her elderly owners have dementia and were unable to care for her. Their daughter took her in, but she was left alone extended periods and was definitely not getting the attention she needs to be happy. One of JoJo's adopters rescued her from that situation and asked us if we can help find her a wonderful home.

Trixie is about 15 lbs and we're guessing maybe a Yorkshire Terrier/Chinese Crested Dog based on her looks. Her back is just peach fuzz, like a Chinese Crested mix might be, but her cute little face looks like Yorkie or Mini Schnauzer (depending on her haircut?) It's an unusual mix, but she is lower maintenance than most Yorkies or Schnauzers because she doesn't have so much hair to get matted. She mainly will need face and feet trims to keep up her adorable appearance.

Trixie is a healthy girl, very playful and affectionate. She does have a little funny gait, but it does not seem to bother her at all. We do not know if it is from an early injury, a birth defect, or possibly the onset of a little arthritis (although she seems too young for that.) Whatever it is, she does not show any sign of pain – she can run and jump just fine – she just has a cute gait when she runs.

Apparently Trixie's prior owners trained her to use p*e pads, so she does do that. Her foster family said she is “semi-house-trained” and they are working with her to get her fully used to pottying outside. She is a smart girl and is learning quickly. She gets along with cats as well as dogs of all sizes, although she does find very hyper dogs to be a bit scary.

She will follow you everywhere and loves to cuddle and just sit in your lap. She is sweet, adorable, and a remarkably happy girl considering all she's been through recently. Her little world has been rocked, but she's bounced back just fine. We want to find this sweet girl a loving, stable home where she can live the life she deserves.

Some of you may not know that there really is a JoJo at JoJo's DogHouse

JoJo was born at the Harmon home on August 20, 2012, when Robin was fostering a mama dog and her puppies for another rescue -- and she was their first "foster failure." So when it was time to start their own rescue in January of 2015, it just seemed right that it be named after JoJo.

JoJo has been the best ambassador a rescue could wish for. For years she was a surrogate mom and mentor to countless rescue dogs and puppies. She made frightened newcomers feel at home and watched over puppies as if they were her own. She is enjoying a well-earned retirement now, laying in her favorite spot with her sloth (her spirit animal 🙂)

For her birthday this year, JoJo is having a pizza party with her immediate family. (In the group shot with JoJo are 4 more foster failures -- Mo (mama of 2017 Frozen Treats litter); Charlee, Ivy and Zephyr.)

JoJo is such a blessing and we love her so much. Happy Happy Birthday, JoJo!

🎉 BIRTHDAY PUPDATE! 🎉 King Leo! (2023 Land & Sea pup Monkey)

"It’s hard to believe it’s the 1st Birthday Week for King Leo. He is a destroyer of all toys, the sweetest snuggler and loves sitting on his throne (the corner of the couch) to alert us to all activities happening out the front door. We’ve completed puppy, intermediate and advanced training, but he is too smart and refuses to follow any commands without a treat. The King doesn’t work for free! 😂"

🐾 PUPDATE! 🐾 Cagney! (2024 Detectives Litter)

"Wanted to give you a little 2 week update, Cagney is doing amazing! We are fully potty trained, and he has been excelling at his dog training. We have already mastered sit, stay, come, lay down, and roll over. We had a great play date last night with a fellow lab puppy and he loved it. He is truly a dream and my best friend. You raised an amazing pup!"

PUPDATE! Comet! (2015 pup George) and Lilly! (2016 Super Bowl pup Peyton)

"I would just like to highlight how amazing the animals are that are adopted from JoJo’s. About 3 weeks ago the boys and I found two very little kittens that were abandoned after one of the big storms we had. One was out in the rain all night and hardly hanging onto life. We took them to the vet and both ended up having UTI’s and conjunctivitis.

"Well we initially decided to foster thees two kittens and get them back to healthy. Comet and Lilly took right to them. Lilly would clean both of them and Comet let them sleep on him to keep them warm. They both knew these littles ones needed help and went right to action. ❤"

JoJo's has the BEST pups and the BEST adopters. We're so glad Comet and Lilly were surrogate parents to these sweet babies. It's so hard to believe that George was from our very first summer as a rescue so he's almost 10 years old now.

🥰 ADOPTED! 🥰 BB -- now Juno -- has found her forever home, and we could not be happier for her.

Juno was mama of the 2024 Baseball Teams litter. She had her puppies at the shelter and came to us with 9 precious pups on Easter Sunday.

She raised her babies and was a great mama but she is so ready to enjoy a puppy-free life now.

Be happy, sweet Juno. You deserve to live your best life now!

🥳ADOPTED!🥳 Little Rocky has found his new home.

He has two new fur siblings -- a 3 year old sister, Gracie, and a 13 year old brother, Louis. The idea was for Gracie to have a playmate and let Louis have a rest from all the play.

Boy was the meet and greet a surprise. It seems that Rocky brought out Louis' inner puppy and he played longer and harder than he has in years. They were adorable together. Gracie joined in too -- but Louis' reaction was such a happy surprise. He was having a blast and Rocky was so excited to have his two new friends.

🥳🥳🥳 ADOPTED!!! 🥳🥳🥳

We can't even believe it ourselves, but the last three of the Detectives Litter puppies -- Drew, Hardy and Miss Marple -- have been adopted together! Three children -- three puppies. What could be more perfect?

The meet and greet was amazing -- each young person had already chosen in advance which puppy would be theirs. No fussing about who wanted who -- they just came in saying "that's my puppy!" Our hearts are smiling.

We are so happy for the puppies to each have their own person to grow up with and a big family to love them all.

MEET ROCKY!

This adorable little dude came to us from an emergency situation last week when his owners found themselves homeless and in despair. It appears he came from a bit of a rough background in his short 7 months, but he was loved and his owners were devastated to have to give him up. Our hearts go out to them and we are glad they found JoJo's so that they can be comforted knowing he will find a great home.

We were able to get Rocky neutered and fully vetted on the day we rescued him so he is ready to start his new life. He is pretty much full grown at 18 lbs. He's very sweet and plays well with other dogs. He does need some work on manners and he's not fully housebroken, which is not surprising with his background. He just needs some stability and consistency in his life so he has a chance to learn to be his best self.

🐾HAPPY HAPPY PUPDATE!🐾 Callie! (2020 Coco Pup Rosa) was found last night!

"We found her!! Two ladies who lived in the area who I had been messaging with took their evening walk around where she had last been seen this morning. She was hiding under the back porch of an auto sales place! I had been there looking that morning, and my husband had just been there an hour before! All vets were closed so we are taking her first thing in the morning to the vet. She’s got a pretty nasty infected hole/spot on her face and some cuts and scrapes, but for 5 days missing she’s doing great!!!"

She had her vet visit today: "...wanted to let y’all know she got all stitched up and is now resting comfortably at home ♥️"

We are ecstatic at this happy ending and want to thank all of our wonderful JoJo's family for sharing and caring about Callie. JoJo's truly is blessed with the best adopters.

It took a while for her to find her brave side, but a couple of months of doggie daycare and consistent walks with her Great Dane bestie and her lab best brother have taught her how to behave like the supermodel, confident girl we always knew she would be. "Hello. We got our girl Callie from y’all in 2020. We are on vacation in pigeon forge and she escaped from her dog sitter house and ran out to the road and got hit but then got up and ran off. I have posted all over social media and have people out looking for her. Could you please post to your page for any of your followers that might be in the mt Juliet hermitage area? We are absolutely sick over this"

Callie was Rosa of 2020 Coco Litter. Please spread the word to anyone you may know in the area. This is hurting our hearts for her and her family.

"Hello!! We have had some big changes since we last talked so I wanted to send a pupdate for Blue. In May, we were stationed to Honolulu, Hawaii with the Army. We spent months working with the dogs, training them, and prepping them to make the flight. We were so nervous but they took it like champs!! Blue is such a beach dog. She loves rolling around in the sand and running through the water. She is living her best life here in Hawaii!!!"

We could not be happier for the amazing life Blue has. She was a pretty sick puppy for the first couple of months we had her and at some points we weren't even sure she would survive. Well...clearly she did -- and she's thriving! Our hearts are so full reading about her life now.
