Good morning. I came across this vintage video, and cried my eyes out. The joy is palpable years later. However, I also realize that this may bring back memories to some of our families that have had to say goodbye to their precious Havs. We know who you are and we are with you. Thank you for loving them so well... It has been such a blessing.

Renaissance Havanese has been providing professionally bred Havanese dogs to families in New England since 2000. After living with, and experiencing the fabulous Havanese dog in our own family, I had the desire to want to introduce these lively dogs to our community.
With the name Renaissance Havanese as our banner, we set out to bring about our own"Renaissance" of the breed in this area. My goal was to build a supportive relationship with clients in order to enhance and simplify the experience of getting a new puppy. By providing education and support, we have been successful in being a resource for many families throughout the years.

While the primary focus of our Havanese breeding program is precision out of devotion to the breed and breed standard, I do consider RH to be a ministry of sorts to families. The joy, hope and purpose that our puppies have brought to people with varying needs just never get's old.

Today I am happy to officially welcome my daughter Victoria and son-in-law Nate to our team. The two have been working to revive our social media presence and update our website. They both have a lot of great ideas and are tech savvy, which means we can get back to posting more content. More importantly, I have seen their loving kindness toward for people and animals. I am confident as we move into the future together and look forward to continuing to provide you with our best!

Jett is a very special Havanese pup. Over the years, he has impressed a lot of people and made them come to Renaissance Havanese to get one of their own. Soon there was a whole pack of them in his neighborhood, I'm pretty sure his mom said he's nicknamed "the mayor"!
Thank you Jett for being such a good representative for our Renaissance Havanese family.

"I was firm in my conviction until Christmastime when my daughters launched operation: Get Puppy. They asked so often yet so sweetly that I had to consider. Every dog owner I spoke to said, “They need a puppy! They make your life better!” and somewhere in the back of my mind I saw my 7 year old self staring unenthusiastically at my tiny pet frog swimming back and forth through murky aquarium water.

You can probably guess what happened next. "

Whether you were aware of the healing power of animals or you just realized they made you feel good, I now encourage you to include your pet in your list of strengths when it comes to coping and healing from grief.

Place another chair under the tree...
So I was working on this little spot for myself in the yard, many days I wondered what the heck I was doing, I am no landscape architect. I had just about finished before we left for a reconnaissance trip to Tennessee. And in the days following my father's death, I have spent so much time here under this "Victorious tree", planted many years ago together with my parents, in honor of our first child's birth. And how I have wept and prayed and talked to God under the shadows of its branches. Today, my heart breaks again for my mama just thinking about what it must feel like to loose her husband of 66 years. Then, just as grief threatened to engulf my spirit. God said to my spirit, "Place another chair under the tree for your husband." And I ran, the very act of getting that extra chair was enough to lighten my heart. God knows exactly how to satisfy my soul. I needed the strength and leadership of my husband now more than ever. His kindness and his unwavering faith keeps me above the waves.
