Our Story
Mobile Vet to Pet Veterinary House Call Service was founded by Dr. Joell Sheahan in 2009 in Minneola, Florida to provide an alternative to traditional clinics. Many pets experience fear and anxiety in a regular clinic, getting put in a car, waiting in a lobby, and in some cases going into a room without their owner can be very stressful for the pet and the owner. Most pets are much more comfortable being seen in their own home, and the staff of Mobile Vet to Pet were some of the first to receive our certificates as Fear Fear Professionals, an internationally recognized certification that offers unparalleled education on emotional wellbeing, enrichment, and the reduction of fear, anxiety, and stress in pets.
Whether its the result of a pet’s (or owner’s) stress, having more pets than can fit in your car, or when it is time to help a loved one cross the Rainbow Bridge, there are many reasons to consider a house call practice. The convenience of having Veterinarian come to your home ensures you are with your pet during the whole exam, they are not stressed by other unfamiliar pets, and they are in their most comfortable environment.
