Top 10% Rover Sitter in Indiana for 2018. Elm Heights Pet Care LLC. Privately Insured.
My husband and I are recent graduates of Indiana University. We love our community in Bloomington so much that we have not left yet! We have two young goldendoodles, Scout and June. Our dogs are our life and we often organize our schedules around theirs! Scout and June are AKC Canine Good Citizens and attend training classes regularly. They love to play with other dogs but understand and are respectful when a dog is older or does not want to play with them. I work from home. My free time is almost solely dedicated to spending time with our dogs. We go on long walks and hikes. We do obedience, trick and agility classes. I work for a local rescue in Bloomington, Mannered Mutts Rescue. This rescue formed to help control the overpopulation of dogs in Southern Indiana. We foster dogs from the shelter as well as owner surrenders and give them the proper training they to be successful in their forever home. I often have a foster dog in my home. Foster dogs may or may not interact with my boarding and daycare dogs depending on the level of their training. Their training is guided by professional dog trainers at Mannered Mutts Training, LLC.
Boarding and Daycare: I can guarantee your dog will be happy and safe in our home. We believe in treating our guest dogs like our own pets which is why we don't take more than 2-3 boarding clients at a time. I want to ensure that I will have enough time to give the right amount of attention and exercise to each guest. I have a lot of rooms in my house where I can give them privacy from each other if need be. I host for daycare Saturday-Sunday 7am-7pm. The amount of dogs I have for daycare varies based on whether I have a current foster dog or how many boarding clients I have. The daycare pack that I have is an amazing group and they all get along very well. I want it to stay that way. I require meet and greets for all new clients. I prefer to meet at a neutral territory like Bryan Park or Ferguson dog park. After the first meet and greet if you would like to come over to our home and see our environment we can accommodate that, but please let me know in advance of the meet and greet. Our regular clients are family to us. Our dogs are allowed on our furniture and sleep with us in bed at night. We believe in treating our guests like our own so we encourage couch snuggling (If you do not allow your pet on your furniture we will respect and honor that)!
Drop-ins and Dog Walking: I offer drop-in visits for cats or dogs and dog walking during all days of the week. I will leave your home in great condition while you are away. I accept drop-ins and walks if it is a 15 minute drive from my home in the Elm Heights neighborhood (close to Indiana University's campus) or less. If your home is further than 15 minutes, I will charge an addition $5 per mile. Rover does not send me your address until the booking is confirmed, so I will ask for your address in advance to quote you the correct price.
