21 years ago, Founder Jessica opened up Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa when her daughter Ariana (pictured and is YP employee while attending nursing school) was 3 months old. Forced to choose between attending to her sick infant and her job. She chose her daughter and to become her own boss and create a work environment that respects mothers needs who are employed and to empower them to be great mammas and to do what you love.

21 years later, we think it worked out pretty well 💖

Day training is the most popular🐾

Drop off for school anytime from 7-9 am Monday - Thursday 🐾
The trainers work on what needs were to accomplish while providing timing and consistency to have routines and behaviors set in.
Pick up anytime from 4-6 pm

Friday is lesson with pet parents and pooch and homework for the weekend!

Party animals 🐾

Spa days are the best days 🐾 Potty time and hello time 15 ish minutes Prep in time on table before bath to remove tight matting and trim nails 35 ish minutes Blow out to remove dander and loosen hair to get the skin clean in bath 45 ish minutes Bath (for his groomer and him lol) 35 ish minutes Conditioner and rinse 25 ish minutes Blow dry 35 ish minutes Kennel dry 1 hour (I don’t stress him for his face and other areas to dry) Fluff out 45ish minutes Potty and water break 15 ish minutes Brush, thin, comb, deshed 1 hour Trimming and final touches 45 ish minutes Potty break, love on time wait for mom 💖 Could we do it faster? Yes. Will we do it faster? No. And here’s why. Finn is a very special rescue of ours who was adopted by a fantastic family. He most likely had never been groomed before we first met him years ago. We worked with him during his time with us to know the table, tub, sounds of tools and more to get him where he is today. Enjoying his spa day! It was baby steps for him sometimes one foot or area at a time. By making a spa day a fun day it creates a relaxed dog and groomer bond. So when he ages, he will trust us to pick up his bad knees, he will trust me to shave areas maybe we haven’t shaved before, he will be a relaxed dog when it’s time for him to go slower💖 By doing a dog straight through and not giving breaks when needed is like making a toddler be held down to get their hair done creating stress or having grandma who can’t stand get a mani pedi, facial and hair done in a day without breaks and then she is in pain. Just because you want a dog done fast does not mean it’s done correctly, trust your groomer when they advocate for your dog💖

Did you know Yuppy Puppies Forever Rescue has rescued almost 1700 dogs! The amazing staff at Yuppy Puppy cares for our rescue dogs like their own until their home comes along🐾 We often hear “they are the best puppy!” That’s because our trainers from day one are hard at work on doing our puppy 101 training basics with them🐾 shhhh adopters think they are born that way 😂 and that’s ok! Family owned and operated since 2003. Yuppy Puppy St. Peters is one of two locations of Yuppy Puppy. Yuppy Puppy St. Peters is a full service grooming spa along with large self wash area and retail. We offer daily shuttle rides to our WingHaven location for pets who are checking into the hotel or just for the day of fun at our playcamp.
