Apply to adopt at rezdawgrescue.org/adopt. We offer veteran and senior discounts. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and other treatments, as needed. Please email [email protected] for more information. Due to the overwhelming amount of requests we receive, it is impossible for us to respond to each application personally, as we are limited

ADOPT ME!!
Meet Lottie, a 2 year old, 45 lb, female, mixed breed sweetheart with a loving heart and a wondeful disposition. She trusts her foster humans completely, and will let them do just about anything to her including baths, picking her up, giving her medicine, making her wear clothing, etc. She gives the most gentle kisses and even does love nibbles while laying on your lap!

Lottie is very smart, so mental stimulation will be important in her forever home. When Lottie gets bored, she turns into a "treasure" hunter! She will bring you treasures such as toys, shoes, dirty socks, pillows, anything that will get your attention. She's too proud to destroy her treasures! She just carries them around with her.

Lottie loves to play! Squeeky fluffies and hard rubber balls are her favorites! She loves chasing them if you throw them for her, but will also play all by herself.

Lottie is very mindful of a cat's space, so a home with cats is okay. She is not so mindful with a dog's space, and just wants to be their best friend! She does her best to respect boundaries, but gets very excited at times. A home with a younger, playful dog would be best. She would also do okay in a home by herself. Like all of our adult (> 1yr old) dogs, no children under 12 years old in the home, please.

Chacha is a quiet, well mannered, 2.5 year old, female, pittie mix girl who loves attention and wants to be around her people. She was a wonderful mother, but is now retired from that gig and is looking for a forever family who will shower her with love. She does well with other dogs and would love an active family or person who includes her in their daily outings. Her hobbies include face licking, squirrel chasing and treat eating!!

I’ve grown up with a wonderful dog and child in my foster home who have taught me how to be gentle and get along with everybody! I have also grown up with cats that I am super curious about. Sassy is not really sassy at all, he is a super sweet 4 month old male (boy!) kitten with white and grey colors. He and his sister Ranger are outgoing and social kittens, but not "too much" energy. Really perfect 4 month olds. Both sweet and very easy to handle. We do recommend web searching "Jackson Galaxy Cat Introductions" to introduce any kitty to their new home and friends or adopt her with a sibling! Sassy is sharing a habitat with his sister Ranger at the Petco Lakeside conveniently located off I 70 and Harlan in North Denver.

Reese is a beautiful, 4-month old, female pup looking for a family to call her own. She’s very smart and highly food motivated which should make training a breeze. She is a very sweet girl, wanting to be by your side in life's adventures. The dogs in Reese's foster home have been great mentors for her. She will likely do best in a home with another friendly dog. Reese can be a little shy initially, but she's becoming more and more confident around people as she settles into her foster home and is exposed to new people and experiences.

Reese does well in a kennel at night as long as she has a human near by and for short periods during the day. Reese's ideal living situation is a single family home with a yard. She'd prefer a home without very young children. Reese is currently being fostered in southeast Aurora, CO. Interested in learning more about her? Foster’s First Snowfall

Yesterday, RezDawg Rescue welcomed 14 dogs and 18 cats into loving foster homes. Friday, we are expecting 22 more dogs and 4 more cats. These animals have a promising future thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers and fosters who welcomed them with open arms. Enjoy this video of new foster pup, Shelby, experiencing her first snowfall in her foster home. Things are about to get a whole lot brighter for you, Shelby!

UPDATE - SAFE!!! This sweet dude is headed to our friends at Foothills Animal Shelter! YAY!!! Thank you all for sharing!!! He’s amazing and will be in excellent hands!! ❤️❤️ URGENT Foster/Transfer needed- Senior dog at the Towaoc Shelter in CO. Was surrendered by his owner. He came in and was housed with another adult and two small dogs by an elderly man who could no longer care for them. While his companions have found rescues, he’s still waiting for his chance. Don’t let him be left behind—help this sweet senior find a loving foster home or transfer to safety! TRANSPORT LEAVES IN THE MORNING!!!

Our Story

RezDawg Rescue works with communities in the Four Corners area of the southwest to save homeless pets through transport, fosterage, medical treatment and adoption. We also conduct spay/neuter clinics and outreach on the native lands of the Diné, Ute and Zuni people.

Since 2011, we have supported the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of over 10,000 dogs and cats, thanks to YOUR support of our lifesaving programs..

Would you like to adopt or foster one of our rescue animals or volunteer with us? Please visit our website and complete an application. We are a volunteer-based organization and try to process the many requests received in a timely manner, but give us at least 2 weeks. Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and other treatments, as needed. That fee does not cover the cost of transporting, feeding and providing medical treatment for each animal.
