Apply to adopt at rezdawgrescue.org/adopt. We offer veteran and senior discounts. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and other treatments, as needed. Please email [email protected] for more information. Due to the overwhelming amount of requests we receive, it is impossible for us to respond to each application personally, as we are limited

UPDATE: FOUND SAFE!!
George’s foster mom opened her front door, and George was standing there, ready to come back inside. What a smart boy! 💗

HELP!! MISSING REZDAWG!

George bolted out the front door of his foster home and took off. He was last seen on Race Way near Thornton Pkwy.
Please keep a look out for him. If spotted, do not chase or call out to him. Note location, take a photo if possible, and comment or DM.

Yesterday, RezDawg Rescue welcomed 14 dogs and 18 cats into loving foster homes. Friday, we are expecting 22 more dogs and 4 more cats. These animals have a promising future thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers and fosters who welcomed them with open arms. Enjoy this video of new foster pup, Shelby, experiencing her first snowfall in her foster home. Things are about to get a whole lot brighter for you, Shelby!

Here’s Merida- one of the new arrivals off the first transport van yesterday. I usually wait a day for bathing but she needed one SO bad. She behaved perfectly. I love a drama-free bath!

She’s thin, has rickets as well as mange, and her dead fur came out in big clumps. But she’s sweet and happy and only a little worried 😊. The transformation is under way.

Two transport vans filled!!
A lot of people worked really hard to make this happen. I won’t call out names because I’d surely miss folks but a huge thank you to RezDawg staff, volunteers, old and new fosters who stepped up, and a whole bunch of people working behind the scenes. Rescue is HARD these days but this is an achievement worth celebrating. So many saved ❤️. To be exact, 48 puppies, dogs, cats, and kittens will be traveling to their foster homes. And welcome to all the new fosters. We’re so glad to have you as part of this dedicated community 😊

Foster’s First Snowfall

UPDATE - SAFE!!! This sweet dude is headed to our friends at Foothills Animal Shelter! YAY!!! Thank you all for sharing!!! He’s amazing and will be in excellent hands!! ❤️❤️ URGENT Foster/Transfer needed- Senior dog at the Towaoc Shelter in CO. Was surrendered by his owner. He came in and was housed with another adult and two small dogs by an elderly man who could no longer care for them. While his companions have found rescues, he’s still waiting for his chance. Don’t let him be left behind—help this sweet senior find a loving foster home or transfer to safety! TRANSPORT LEAVES IN THE MORNING!!!

Urgent- animal control has this group on the Mescalero Reservation, desperately seeking a transfer as they have NO HOLDING FACILITY. I am BEGGING our supporters to help. Animal Control was doing the right thing, reaching out for help for one of the first times, and there was big communication on the rescue transfer logistics, leaving these guys in limbo. Day 1 of our 3 day spay and neuter clinic on the Nambe Pueblo in Santa Fe County, NM! The partnerships bring tears to my eyes and absolute magic to the room! We are super appreciative to also have the help and support of the Nambe Wellness Center - Ronda and her team at the wellness center are rockstars! Our Story

RezDawg Rescue works with communities in the Four Corners area of the southwest to save homeless pets through transport, fosterage, medical treatment and adoption. We also conduct spay/neuter clinics and outreach on the native lands of the Diné, Ute and Zuni people.

Since 2011, we have supported the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of over 10,000 dogs and cats, thanks to YOUR support of our lifesaving programs..

Would you like to adopt or foster one of our rescue animals or volunteer with us? Please visit our website and complete an application. We are a volunteer-based organization and try to process the many requests received in a timely manner, but give us at least 2 weeks. Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and other treatments, as needed. That fee does not cover the cost of transporting, feeding and providing medical treatment for each animal.
