Fill the Boot is Almost Here!

We are getting ready for our annual Fill the Boot event on Saturday, September 6th in Grants Pass, OR! 🐾 This super fun day brings together a community of dog lovers with good food, live music, fishing, camping, and plenty of chances to support the dogs who need us most.

🎟️ During the event, attendees can enjoy an amazing raffle, and we’re also pairing it with an auction!
💥 All this week we have bidding on our biggest-ticket auction items so everyone can participate. Winners will need to arrange for shipping or transport of items.

⏰ The auction will close on Saturday, September 6th. That morning, we’ll also add new auction items exclusive to event day—so stay tuned!

🇺🇸🐾 Happy Labor Day from NWBR 🐾🇺🇸

Boxers were originally bred to be working dogs—strong, smart, and always ready to lend a paw. These days, the “work” most of our rescue pups take on looks a little different: healing from tough beginnings, learning to trust again, and giving unconditional love to the families who welcome them home.

On this Labor Day, we’re grateful for our volunteers, fosters, and adopters who put in the hard work right alongside us. Rescue truly is a team effort, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to a day of rest, gratitude, and celebrating the dogs who remind us what it means to keep going, no matter what. ❤️

Please join us in welcoming Graf to NWBR. This senior guy has been through a lot it looks like, and is facing some tough medical challenges, but he made it out of the shelter with just a couple hours to spare.

Graf will need surgery and ongoing care to help him heal, and while the road ahead isn’t easy, we know he's got this and we will be with him through it all!

This boy will be needing a foster in the NW in the next couple weeks, who can help?

✨ Handsome, silly, and ready for my forever home. Meet Odin. ✨

Odin is a young guy with plenty of energy and a heart full of tons of love. He does great with other dogs and would especially love a sister dog who can keep up with his playfulness. 🐾

What Odin’s looking for:
🏡 An active family and fenced yard to safely run and play, play, play
👨‍👩‍👧 Older kids (he’s a big, bouncy boy!)
🚫 No cats
🚙 Not a fan of car rides or busy outings
💛 A patient, active family who will let him grow at his own pace

Odin will thrive with lots of socialization on his terms and a family who “gets” him — one that sees not just the silly puppy he is today but the amazing dog he’s becoming.

Oh, pretty Maggie Mae they have taken her away...
..to Oregon with a foster family. That's where she's waiting for her forever family! Maggie is boxer-shepherd mix (think: fuzzy boxer!). She's a simple gal who likes a nice walk, hanging out with her people, and toys. LOTS of toys. She wouldn't mind a treasure chest–toy collecting may be her favorite hobby, after napping, of course!

Hi, I’m Tim—some people call me Little Miss Timbolina. I’m a small but lively girl with one-of-a-kind coloring and plenty of personality. I’m smart, love learning new things, and have the energy you’d expect from a young pup. I’d do best with an active family and another dog who enjoys playtime as much as I do. And the anser to the question everyone asks... I am 100% boxer.

Walks and hikes are some of my favorite things, and I’ve earned the nickname “the huntress,” so a home without cats will be best. At the end of the day, though, I just want to curl up close and be your snuggle buddy.
