It was a noisy weekend on the farm. The Airforce Thunderbirds were performing at the Pease International Tradeport. We got to see them arrive, perform from a far, and depart this morning. Add the noise from 2nd cut haying!

From start to never finished, it takes a team to get the hay in the barn!
Rolling up the hay into wind rows with the rake, allows the baler to eat the hay and spit out bales. More "man" hours and sunshine required!

Bright sunshine, a nice breeze and the tedder turn grass into hay, along with more "man" hours!
Vacation is over, now back to the business of making hay!
It's a love/hate relationship when making hay....constantly checking the weather, praying no storms come thru and rain on your hay. Soil moisture, quality of the grass, equipment maintenance. Lets not forget enough man power to get the hay off the field and in the barn! These are just a few things so tightly tied to making quality "horse " hay.
Step 1....cutting the hay
