Since I was a little girl animals have always been my passion. I have decided to use my background with animals and joy for sharing my passion with others to start a mobile petting zoo and pony rides business for Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.

It’s estimated that approximately 80% of rabbits adopted for Easter will die or be abandoned due to inadequate care or lack of knowledge about ownership. If you are considering adopting a pet rabbit for Easter, please consider these tips before “hopping” to a quick conclusion.

🐇 A rabbit’s lifespan is typically 8-12 years. Be sure you are ready for a long-term commitment.

🐇 While they look cuddly, rabbits are different from cats and dogs. They are considered “ground animals” and don’t usually like to be picked up and held.

🐇 Rabbits enjoy a large, spacious cage kept indoors, with supervised playtime (indoors and outdoors). Place hay inside the cage for your rabbit to eat.

🐇 Rabbits are aggressive chewers, and need to be kept away from electrical cords and anything that can be dangerous if ingested, such as taped or glued boxes.

🐇 Rabbits are herbivores, meaning they like to eat fruits and vegetables. While hay comprises the majority of their diet, rabbits also need a variety of other food options to ensure they are receiving optimal nutrition.

🐇 Rabbits will use a litter box – frequently. Have one both inside the cage and outside the cage for use during playtime.

🐇 Domesticated rabbits will likely not survive outside of captivity, as they don’t have the instincts to find food, seek shelter, and hide from predators. If you decide rabbit ownership isn’t for you, be sure to find your bunny a happy new home!

🐣🐰💐Easter is almost here💐🐰🐣 We have adorable animals available to rent for the occasion!

While bunnies, chicks and ducks are popular around this time of year, they should not be bought and gifted as Easter gifts. They grow very quickly and have lifespans of up to 10 years or more! They require daily care including feeding, water, litter cleaning and not to mention veterinary care. Sadly many end up dead from improper handling, predators and improper housing. Don't be a a part of the problem but rather a part of the solution by renting one of these adorable animals as an Easter suprise instead!

Sharing for anyone that may need help finding a lost pet! Many are still missing after last night's fireworks. Sometimes no matter what you do to try and secure your pets, things still happen. I personally had a runaway last night too. One of my livestock guardian dogs scaled the fence to get away. A fence with a hot wire that she knows not to touch. She had never been afraid of them before, otherwise I would have locked her in the house. Had I not seen her on my cameras, I wouldnt have even known she jumped out. Luckily after about an hour of searching she was found safe. For many this won't be the case. If you see a roaming pet please try to secure them, check for a collar with information, then take to a vet to scan for a microchip if there is no information on the collar. If that doesn't result in finding the owners post to Facebook, Craigslist, Next Door, your local lost pet groups, flyers etc to help get them home!

**No bunnies were harmed in the making** Just an extremely relaxed bun taking a nap in my arms! 😂🐰

I have a very important rule with my bunnies when we are at events, NO HOLDING ALLOWED (except by me, their caretaker). I don't do this to deprive anyone of a bunny holding experience etc but to simply keep everyone involved safe! I don't want anyone to get scratched or bitten and even more importantly, I don't want any of my rabbits dropped, squeezed or injured in anyway! I used to make exceptions and let adults hold while being supervised until I had someone drop one of my most calm buns which led to him breaking his back on the landing. Thankfully he has regained movement in his rear legs and isn't paralyzed anymore. He still has trouble getting around from time to time and isn't as agile as prior to the accident. I know no harm is ever meant on my animals by people that don't know better, but they are my responsibility to keep safe as well as keeping them from injuring anyone interacting with them. A rabbits instinct when being held or handled is usually to try and get away. And while some tolerate being held better than others, even the most experienced handler gets scratched from time to time.

So while I get asked all of the time if anyone can hold the animals, just know it's not allowed with my petting zoo. Safety is my top priority!

Spot loves to roll after a hard day's work 😄

Many people ask if the animals are afraid of music or singing and in this video you will see that they aren't phased. As long as the noise isn't too loud they just go about their business eating and resting.
