I lost the best mother in the world. That is when I received this amazing blessing. There are 4 one will be staying here for our program. I will also start showing again asap . September is my sobriety month ❤️

I want to make something very clear ! Getting sober did not happen overnight. I did not just decide one day I want to get sober . I had a lot of consequences, misery , anxiety , drama , and bad relationships. Yes I had alot of fun in some of my years . The bad outweighed the good by miles . The years leading up to my sobriety were horrible. I lost my families respect. I lost a parent, family, husbands ,friends, and myself. I always thought if this was them they would drink to. I drank good and bad times not everyday but I did drink to get drunk. I also thought I would get control of it. I thought it effected no one else. Only to find out I had run all over everyone. They tolerated me because they loved me. I could not even love myself Thank Heavenly Father they did.
When I went to detox I had never stepped away from the chaotic life I created. I never had to sit alone with myself for more then one night without a mind altering substance. I had no one to turn to . No social media, phone, shopping, housework, or people. I had too truly take a long look at myself . I did not like what I saw. I needed change!!!!! I went for it 100% in. I have never looked back it is seriously hard changing 42 years of 💩 💩. I absolutely never thought my dreams would come true. Slowly they have and still are . There are so many blessings. There are super hard days but I know what a drink or drug will do. I love all those that have been through this with me. I love those that have friended me in my new life. I love my Heavenly Father and his son.

We raised our boys together! Laurie Burbach I am heartbroken. Not just for myself, for our kids and grandkids. You were at every memory through high school and after . Life is too short. I do not know what I can do for our children to make this better. I can only love more for the two of us. You will be missed beyond words. I promise I will do my best and know you are loved so much

This is what the 4th of July means to me!! My home, my heart, my family, my mistakes, my recovery, and my Choice to be a Christian. I know we all feel the change , the tragedy. Today is about what we have overcome as a country. I am proud of where I live and what my family has fought for. This day gives me pride . I can sit on my porch and feel safe today !!!

Sobriety has made my life so much better . My life is far from perfect! I choose to find the best in it daily. I want everyone to succeed, I also want kindness in this world. I am not blinded , I just chose to try and see the best. Stop talking about others if you are miserable and look at yourself. That is when I find discontentment when I see my flaws or past flaws in others. I also truly do not care of your political beliefs. Yes I have mine . I vote and will have and educated conversation without belittling you. I also try daily to add kindness. Now don’t get me wrong I’m far from perfect. I make mistakes, lose my temper, and always feel horrible for it after the fact. Let’s try harder to help one another be better .

When I got sober I learned that I could not put any mind altering substance in my body or I’m not completely sober . From one substance to another is what I did when I was drinking. I would quit and smoke pot , then take speed, do what ever I could do to self medicate. I did not heal until I started working on the problem. I was shocked to find out it was ME! I went to a detox, therapist, and meetings . For me I have to stay completely sober . I can not loose myself again. Amazingly I do not get in trouble any more. I am close with my family and friends. Life is far from perfect but 100 times better than it used to be!!

You are responsible for how you feel from the moment you wake up until your head hits the pillow! Huge lesson for this year . I am blessed due to my trust in Heavenly Father. I can not believe my mindset. Life is not always perfect. I now turn it over to my Heavenly Father. I have trouble doing so sometimes. This year is not about resolutions it is about how I need to keep myself in more of what is right. The blessings outweigh the trials . I still have hard times but I know everything is temporary. #2022
