Using God’s gifts He has blessed us with, to do what He has called us to do!

Hello everyone, I am Karen McCullough and we live in beautiful Southern Iowa. I am blessed to be married to my best friend Chuck, and we have 4 beautiful children. Chuck and I along our two youngest children run a 150 cow calf operation and also raise these incredible dogs. We homeschool our two younger children and enjoy working with both showing cattle and showing dogs.

I grew up in Saskatchewan Canada and moved to the USA in 2002, I thoroughly enjoy living in Iowa and believe it is a little piece of Heaven on earth(most days). The people have welcomed me and I have gained so many brothers and sisters through our church we attend Grace Baptist Chariton IA., raising and showing cattle, and the many relationship that we have formed through raising dogs. My journey through life hasn’t always been easy but worth it, and there were many ups and downs. When I was 30 years old I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior and surrendered my life to the Him. My life from that point totally changed and I am alive today because of the Grace of God. I continue to spend my day in awe of ALL God has done in my life and look forward to what He has planned in the years to come. I look forward to the day when I will see my savior face to face. I also look forward to the day when I get to be reunited with our son Cody who went on to Heaven in September 2015. Our oldest daughter Erin is attending college in Victoria BC, and it is nothing short of a miracle, the work God has done in her life. Our two youngest children are at home with us, Madison age 12 and she LOVES to show cattle and train and show dogs. Our youngest is Drew and he is mister science guy everyday teaching me new things and showing me things that I just walk right past and never notice. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these three.

My husband Chuck is one of the most hardworking and God loving men I have ever met. Chuck is one of the most talented cattle clippers and fitters in the USA and he and I travel teaching people how to clip, fit, and show cattle at our McCullough Fitting Clinics. We use this as a ministry to share the gospel, as Chuck does a message Sunday morning. He has more patients then I have ever seen in a man and loves to teach. On the farm, him and his dad keep busy planting, haying, harvesting, calving cows, and working with the show cattle...oh ya filling in helping me wherever I need him. It is a hard way of life and long, long hours but we wouldn’t want it any other way!

Our dogs are part of our family and we look forward to playing and training them each day. We have built a beautiful place on 900 acres that there is plenty of room to exercise, hike, and dry land mush. We have a grooming facility that we so enjoy being that we all love to clip either cattle or dogs. I started off by raising Border Collies, with my very first and still my favorite dog, Nikki. She was amazing smart and taught me so much...lol...not kidding! I grew in knowledge of training the border collies and just love the challenge it presents. Next we moved to raising the Pembroke Welsh Corgis, they are an interesting breed that are characters no doubt. My love for Huskies and Pomeranians came together in 2011 when I prayed about the possibility of raising pomskies, and getting a husky. The next day not even looking for it, God brought me Keisha(there is a story behind that) she was beautiful and really well made. I bred her first time to a Pure Bred Husky, seeing we had not found the perfect Pomeranian yet. Out of this husky litter is where we acquired our beautiful Skyla. She is the amazing girl we started our pomsky program with. It was a little tough at first to get started, I knew I needed to start with the perfect Pomeranian, Kaluha he was hard to find! Then to find a vet that knew how to AI a dog was also tough. Fortunately along came Dr.Hines and he was fresh out of college, where they had taught him to AI dogs and we had success in spring of 2013! Skyla had our first litter of 11 all blue eyed and full husky masked beautiful babies. Half of the litter were merles and the other half red or black and white. Everyone was so brand new to this breed, there wasn’t the IPA yet or anything. The difficulty in the beginning was to acquire good breeding stock, because all the other breeders had waiting list and were also trying to build their own programs. So I was on the hunt for another Pomeranian and another Husky. This is where my second line was developed with sweet heart Star and amazing Owen. Only God could have brought this all together like it came and we are so blessed to have been apart of this. We have came to absolutely love the Pomsky breed. They are smart like Huskies, characters like Pomeranian’s and the combination creates the cutest dogs in the world. It is truly the best of two worlds, Huskies have allot of drive and energy, Pomeranians are a little to small to enjoy hiking with, but put the two together and you have a partner, game for anything.
