Pride Month is upon us, remember the fight for equal rights is not a one month per year thing. The fight is constantly going. As states begin to pass laws one by one against us we will not be silent! Pride is about standing up for the right to be equal and remembering those we have lost and that are still with us who have worked to get us the rights we have today. We are not less than, we deserve the right to love, the right to live life as our true authentic self, we shouldn’t have to fear death anytime we have a medical emergency happen and worry that the attending physician won’t care for. We deserve bodily autonomy, all women (cis, trans, non-binary, and all woman identifying humans) deserve the choice of what to do with their own bodies! We should have equal access to the restroom that fits our chosen identity. We should not be criminalized for performing in drag. It can be stated as much as it wants about it being for the children, but until the moment they continue to ignore the largest source of child molestation in the US it is not. It is about control and not wanting a minority to have any say. They want to continue to line the pockets of the billionaires and corporations. Until we have protections afforded to us minorities by a constitutional amendment this fight will be always raging. We are not equal until everyone is afforded the same freedoms.



During the month of June we will be highlighting some of the LGBTQIA+ trailblazers who have gotten us to this point and the newest and brightest leading the fight.
