A blind outrun made by Waddie, to continue to share his heart and work ethic and trust in me. I'm so thankful this dog likes being used and likes being asked to do hard things. I'm scared of heights LOL so the fact he can go find the steers I can see way up there in the nosebleeds, and bring them down a steep woody draw is SO HELPFUL. I did share my turkey sandwich with him at lunch, it was the least I could do.
Waddie saving our BUTTS cause someone (me) closed the gate we were supposed to go through, so the steers decided running up the face was a great idea! They could have easily escaped us since we were both on machines for this clean up. Good boy Waddie baby! 💙
I sure like an "out" command! Waddie getting these steers to hurry up and get on the road before they sulk in the trees and creek.
Using Tuna to drain the alley of weighed steers while I sit in the pen next to it. Good dog for low stress handle!
It was windy IM SORRRRYYYY, and yeah I should have let Waddie do his thing, he didn't need me to boss him like that lol. headphone users beware 😅
My little female pup Kate wasn't phased by sheep heads either lol. I just cut this clip down to the part she's letting those sheep butt at her lol. She's not found her bite yet, but she shows me a lot of stuff I like about her. She's 8 months old, still young and maturing.
This is Howdy, my keeper pup from the AY Fly x AY Waddie litter. He's 13 weeks old and this is his 3rd or 4th time on stock.
He clearly isnt bothered by much so I figured it was a good time to push him off of being dirty and get him to start thinking more. I'm not there to reprimand him or to train him. I'm just getting in his way as much as I can without turning him off.
The things I like about him is when he is thinking, he's got a nice tail and he's staying out on his own will even between the fence and the sheep. When they get stuck in the corner he thrives being in their head space, which is a trait I select for. So to see him confident when they face up and shake their heads or butt him and he not care, it makes me soooo happy! He will mature out of that dirty biting because his sire looked just like him at this age, and started working for real around 5/6 months old.
