Please remember we are going to wake up tomorrow and probably for the next few weeks to lots of dogs and cats that have run away due to fireworks. Please make sure that your dog or cat has your phone number on its collar. If you don't have a collar or a tag that has your information take a piece of duct tape and fold it over the collar and back onto itself and write your information on it. Remember just because an animal didn't react before doesn't mean they won't react this time. Also if you're opening windows open them from the top down this way you don't risk an animal going through the screen. Keep doors closed if you have a screen door. If you have to go out maybe put the animal in the basement with a radio or TV on to help lesson the noise and stress. If you're having a party and have people coming over either tie up the dog outside or put the animal in a cage or behind a closed door somewhere so that the dog or cat does not run out while people are entering and exiting your home. We love our animals so please let's do what we can to keep them less anxious or stressed and to feel safe.
