Whether you're planning a long trip or just want to spread out payments for convenience, this new option is here to help. Your pets get the care they deserve, and you get peace of mind without the upfront pressure.

Feel free to ask about it during our next chat. If this is something you’re interested in regardless of invoice amount I'm happy to make one for you. Please know they will be sent with every invoice over $500 regardless, but no obligation to follow the plan. Just a little something I want to do for my clients to make life a little easier. The dog days of summer may be wrapping up, but beach trips with your furry friend are just getting started!

Here’s a list of popular beaches in the Charleston, SC area, along with their rules and regulations for dogs, including leash requirements and time restrictions:

1. Folly Beach
• Leash Rules: Dogs are allowed year-round, but must be leashed at all times.
• Off-Leash Hours: None (dogs must always be on leash).
• Seasonal Restrictions:
• From May 1 through September 30, dogs are prohibited on the beach between 10 AM and 6 PM.
• Other Notes: Owners must clean up after their pets and ensure they have control of their dogs.

2. Isle of Palms
• Leash Rules: Dogs are allowed year-round but must be leashed except during designated off-leash hours.
• Off-Leash Hours:
• From September 15 to March 31, dogs can be off-leash from 4 PM to 10 AM.
• From April 1 to September 14, dogs can be off-leash from 5 AM to 9 AM.
• Other Notes: Owners must clean up after their dogs, and dogs must be under voice control when off-leash. Dogs are not allowed to roam unsupervised.

3. Sullivan’s Island
• Leash Rules: Dogs are allowed year-round, but there are seasonal leash requirements.
• Off-Leash Hours:
• May 1 to September 30: Dogs can be off-leash from 5 AM to 10 AM.
• October 1 to April 30: Dogs can be off-leash from 5 AM to 12 PM (noon).
• Leash Hours: Dogs must be leashed from 10 AM to 6 PM during summer months and from 12 PM to 5 AM during winter months.
• Other Notes: Owners must clean up after pets. Dogs must be under strict voice command and control when off-leash. A dog permit and rabies tag are required, which must be worn on the dog’s collar.

4. Kiawah Island
• Leash Rules: Dogs are allowed year-round, but must be leashed in most areas.
• Off-Leash Area: There is a designated off-leash dog area on the western end of the island near Beachwalker Park, where dogs can be off-leash year-round.
• Other Notes: Dogs must be on a leash at all times outside of the designated off-leash area. Owners are required to clean up after their dogs.

5. Seabrook Island
• Leash Rules: Dogs are allowed year-round, but must be leashed in most areas.
• Off-Leash Area: There is a designated off-leash area on the beach between Boardwalk 9 and the North Beach Inlet, where dogs are permitted off-leash year-round.
• Other Notes: Outside of the designated area, dogs must be leashed. Dog owners must clean up after their pets.

6. Edisto Beach
• Leash Rules: Dogs are allowed year-round, but must be leashed at all times.
• Off-Leash Hours: None (dogs must always be on leash).
• Other Notes: Owners must clean up after their pets. There are no specific dog hours or seasonal restrictions.

Did you know that cats are often attracted to running water because it’s fresh and cool, which can make it seem more appealing and safer than still water in a bowl. Instinctively, many animals, including cats, may associate flowing water with being cleaner. Additionally, the sound and movement of running water can stimulate their curiosity and playfulness. Some cats also prefer the height of a faucet, as it allows them to drink while maintaining a better view of their surroundings. The more you know 🐈‍⬛🤍
