I decided to give duff a collarless last bumper out of the 10 bumper pile during force to pile work and here’s why.. He just wasn’t as full bore ahead today as normal and still wasn’t showing me he’s been corrected a little too hard since raising our standards. I’m all for having a very strict training program that not only shows a dog a very define standard that changes frequently but also making them follow that standard to a t, however for the sake of the dog it’s also important to read when you’re over stepping boundaries and causing more harm then good. No dog does great work performing a job they are starting to hate and it’s on the trainer to see that sign before it’s too late.

Just some fun on live birds over the weekend, 5/6 planted chukars where retrieved and it was only his 2nd training session on live birds.

(The gun jammed on one and it made it out alive)

All in all, we are very happy with this pups progress.
