All puppies went to their forever homes this week. These sweet girls went home to big brother Henry from our last Lela/Prince Harry litter. I was so happy to get to see Henry again and couldn't get over how much he looks like momma ❤️

Today the puppies turned 3 weeks old and finished the night off in an epic Puppy Battle Royale!

Happy Thanksgiving!
On this day of gratitude I wanted to share the story of Hank. He is one of our puppies from our Lulu and Maui litter. This sweet boy is training to be a hospital therapy dog, it warms my heart thinking of all the lives he will touch. Can't wait to see him at work putting smiles on soo many faces 🥰

We couldn't be happier with the progress this guy has made. This is his story.
On August 31st he was born via c-section. Vet checked puppies for cleft palates and didn't find any. First night this little guy cried all night and had lost more weight than what is normal for the first 24 hours. He also starting to sound gunky. This is when we discovered he had a cleft palate. He was immediately started on antibiotics, placed him in the incubator with oxygen and started tube feeding him. Since cleft palate puppies can't nurse of off mom it is usually recommended to euthanize them. We had no experience with a cleft puppy before and very little experience with tube feeding but knew we had to try and save him.
Tube feeding was very intimidating at first but after doing it every few hours around the clock it made us get comfortable pretty quick. Overall the feedings mostly have gone pretty smoothly. Sometimes he sneezes after a feeding and has milk come out his nose so after every feeding we hold him for about an hour while he sucks on his pacifier which he loves!
He is now 3 1/2 weeks old today he ate his first flash soaked kibble and handled it like a champ. He's is doing soo amazing and has tons of s***k. Next steps are to introduce a hamster type water bottle. Once he gets that down we will move him to a normal water bowl and dried kibble.
Since he can't have any milk from mom we have been raising him as an orphan can't wait for him to get to the eating dried kibble stage so he can rejoin his siblings and start living life like a normal puppy.
