We are an unlimited intake facility that takes in approximately 1300 dogs and cats annually. Each and every animal that comes into our care is treated with the utmost respect and dignity befitting a living, feeling being. We work hard to place each animal that comes under our care into the most appropriate home or environment. We proudly consider our shelter to be a full service facility for the r

esidents of Cape May County. The shelter reserves the right to remove any posts that promote products or businesses that are not involved with the direct support of our facility.

This handsome little fellow must have been loved in his last home, yet he was a stray "found" near the Garden State Parkway. Affectionately named "Wishbone" by shelter staff, he is a favorite at the shelter! Wishbone is about 12 years old, and fully vetted. Wishbone is hard of hearing and limited vision. He has some arthritis and what seems to be an old neck injury (causing him to tilt his head). He is housebroken and quiet for a chihuahua! Wishbone has had a dental and he has had senior blood work which was unremarkable. This little guy is a sweetheart and needs to find a home!
