Forage may be in short supply but there are plenty of alternative solutions!

Reasons to look for forage alternatives
🌱Lack of grazing
🌱Limited or poor hay and haylage
🌱Dentally challenged
🌱Calories, either increasing or decreasing depending on your horses requirements.

A lack of forage could result in
💙Weight loss
💙Digestive problems such as gastric ulcers and colic
💙Behavioural issues
💙Loose droppings

To maintain a healthy digestive system and weight, your horse should be consuming around 2% of their bodyweight in forage per day or if your horse is good doer this can be decreased to a minimum of 1.5%

Enhance and extend forage with:

💙Speedi-Beet 💙
For those good doers and those that need to control their calorie intake

💚Fibre-Beet 💚
For those that need additional calories and weight gain.

Feed 1kg of dry weight Speedi-Beet or Fibre-Beet to replace up to 1.5kg of hay.

Remember to always soak into a tasty mash and split across as many feeds as possible!
