Papaya came to us from a hoarding situation earlier this year with over 100 cats in one house. Local rescue groups all pitched in and took as many cats as we could. Papaya is the last of the ‘fruit crew’ to find a home. She’s about 7 years old, surprisingly outgoing, loves to rub on visitors legs & especially enjoys tuna! Maddie is 6 months old and living in a foster home. She is sweet and affectionate and in "move in Condition." Maddie starts off cautious but quickly acclimates to a comfy environment.
I love kittens this age (about 6 months old) You can definitely see their personality shining. Maggie is incredibly affectionate, loves getting petted, and is a natural lap cat. She loves the company of other cats and will be a wonderful addition

Joey and Ross are a bonded pair. These two delightful 11 week old male kittens, came from different places, but immediately bonded in foster care.
They are used to living in a home, and are in "move-in" condition.
They are sweet, playful and affectionate.
Joey is the beautiful Mackerel Tabby (he has beautiful swirls instead of stripes on his coat). Joey is the beautiful Black and White kitten.
The most beautiful thing about these kittens are their delightful personalities. They also love other cats.

Meet Logan! Named after the road he was found on, this boy was someone’s beloved pet at one time. He was already neutered & clearly did not want to be outside! Please message us with any questions or requests you may have and a volunteer will respond.

As always, all contributions go towards providing essential care like food, veterinary treatment, medicine, enrichment activities, training and other necessary supplies for the animals while they wait for their forever homes.

Meet Hero! This is what his foster mom had to say about him. “Hero loves to play with other dogs and toys! He is very good in the car & crate. He sits in the back seat with a restraint harness. He goes in and out of the crate even with the door open. He puts himself to bed! Hero knows commands like ‘sit’ & ‘wait’ as you are opening the door to house. He is working on ‘leave it’ to surrender his toy or ball. He is also working on his leash manners too! He is currently enrolled in doggy daycare at Pawsitive Experience in Rockaway & it really helps him burn off extra energy. Hero takes treats gently. He sits quietly when I am giving my other dog treats & waits his turn. Hero is a fast learner! He would do best with someone who is active or can keep him active with exercise & play time with other dogs.”

Beavis isn’t being a Butthead anymore! Thanks to our friends at Garden State K9 for taking him into their Top Dog Program! Beavis has had his specific needs met & addressed as well developing solid obedience in different environments. Here he is all set for trick or treaters and soaking up the sun at the beach! Beavis is a smart dog that loves training and is excellent with other dogs! For more information on Beavis or to schedule a meet & greet, please call or email the shelter!

Sweet Cinnamon was just surrendered to us. She is a 5 year old Lab/Husky mix that was very well cared for. Unfortunately her owner had to relocate and could not take her with him. Cinnamon is cat, dog & kid friendly! She is used to going to the dog park & very social. She has pretty blue eyes and a beautiful brown coat. She is spayed and current on her vaccines & preventatives. Cinnamon is a bit confused right now watching her owner walk away & leave her behind. Looking for a lap warmer. Meet Lola! Lola loves other cats and loves to sit on her foster mother's lap. Lola would do best in a home with a woman or women to give her lots of attention. If there are other cats in the house, that is a big plus as Lola is being fostered with other cats and does very well.
Lola is about 7 months old. She is playful, yet likes to settle down for snuggles.
