Most likely a Jack Russel Terrier mix but is such a great gal! She’s been through a lot, lost her family due to an accident, then the shelter she was brought to was destroyed during a storm. Meet Larry! Larry is a gorgeous boy with one brown and one blue eye. He is stunning in person no photographs can capture. A beautiful blend of exoticness, with a gorgeous coat of dark and light color. He is estimated at a year and a half old, 55 pounds. Larry is learning about a whole new world coming from being outside all the time. He is good around people, other dogs. Larry loves to run and play with his fur foster siblings and he gets along great with them all. He does have energy, but he gets to the point where he plays for a period and then calms and enjoys laying around unless his curiosity is aroused by something interesting. He does like toys, and he gets excited when he sees rabbits in the yard. He does not like the sound of gunfire in the country or fireworks. It scares him, so definitely needs to be safe during those seasons. Larry, we believe has only road in the car for his vet visits so it's not he is familiar with, but learning among other things. Larry would love a life where he would get more attention and love from his humans. He has been great around adults. We have not gotten him around any kids thus far, so older teens would be best. He is not mean at all. He is timid and shy for the most part and does need time to warm up around new people. He does love to play if he feels safe. We believe Larry would be fine as the only dog with getting all the attention or with another dog compatible with him in age and energy. Larry does fine in a crate for a short period, but would prefer a stay-at-home family member and a large fenced in yard he could pal around in. He will bark at a stranger when approached but only to get their attention. He is friendly with everyone he has been around thus far and only barks at the appropriate times. Larry has no strange or silly behaviors; all in all, he is just a good boy who wants all the love he can get. He is a healthy thriving boy. He is very food motivated. He will sit for a treat. That is the only command we have taught him thus far. He will walk on a leash if needed but he is perfectly content in the backyard. He would require leash and obedience training. He is friendly and does not jump on you but wants to be close to you. He does not bark unless he has a reason. The perfect family for Larry would be a gentle family who wants to give him patience, lots of love with or without older kids that are not too hyper. A home with a fenced-in yard he can enjoy. She will do best to have a fur sibling to help her gain the confidence we know she has. He seems to have been on an adventure through some brush because he came to us with scratches on his poor little face. He is the sweetest boy who just wants to snuggle all the time! He is quiet and reserved so he would be an excellent companion pup. He deserves to be spoiled! We are unsure of his age, but he seems to be fairly young. FOSTER/ADOPTERS WANTED: Meet Bilbo (Bo) & Chewy! Both sweet boys were born in January of 2021. Bilbo is pure bred golden retriever and Chewy is pure bred Lab. They are bonded and must stay together. They do well with children but are dog selective when meeting other dogs so it's best they go to a home with no other pets. They love to play, swim and go on walks. They are still young and will require some training but are quick to learn. We keep getting calls about Labradors, Labrador mixes needing to be rehomed, found abandoned, with local county animal control shelters and it seems never-ending. Unfortunately, we cannot help anymore until we get dogs adopted!! We have so many in need of foster homes or forever homes! Until we can get dogs in homes we cannot help anymore! Buddy is approx. 6 years old, 90 plus pounds, a happy boy! This boy came to us out of Marshall County Alabama. His single older owner, unfortunately, contracted Parkinson’s and couldn’t care for Buddy any longer, so he thought to save Buddy from any misery the solution was euthanasia, but we disagree. Buddy is a fabulous boy that deserves a second chance in life! He has already settled very easily into a routine and is such a quiet and happy boy that steals your heart! Buddy is completely housebroken, and crate trained! He loves to go on walks and will get excited wagging his tail when you first approach him. He is a big baby boy that is a cuddler! He has a gorgeous coat that is beginning to look better with some TLC. Buddy prefers a laid-back environment with just one or two people and would enjoy being the only fur baby around to soak in all the attention. He is a gentle, loving boy that prefers to be in a laid-back space, so definitely would do great with a couple or individual that likes spending time at home and with their dog, a true companion.
