For those of us that have been the human left holding the sweet surrendered soul left behind after being surrendered, abandoned when someone moved away and left them, dumped on a country road, abused and removed by law enforcement- no matter the excuse but we were left to pick up the pieces of these shattered souls..this gives you a very small glimpse of the first moments after their humam walks away or once we get them back to our kennels amd attempt to console them. The first hours rip our heart out as they continue to look for their human who was suppose to be their comfort and protector.They keep a close eye on the door in hopes of seeing their 'person' come back for them because surely they would right? Then comes nightfall and what use to be bedtime for them yet this night is in a strange place with unfamiliar noises,smells and other broken souls equally heartbroken. The mental exhaustion takes hold and physical exhaustion sets in. Some attempt finally sitting down in brief moments and possibly slowing down from pacing. At some point their eyes may shut for a brief moment until a new sound is heard and they pop up in hopes it is the familiar face and voice they have watched and listened for hours to hear or see.At some point daylight comes and they start their first day without the only human they knew in hopes that maybe they were just running late and will soon appear. The days run together and if they are blessed enough to find another human that opens their heart to them, one day they will learn to love and trust again.

CRT supporters & FB friends..please help us find a home for these 4 beauties asap.They were dumped this weekend and need a safe home asap.The current foster has dogs that prevent them from keeping these babies and are willing to bring these babies to a good home willing to foster for CRT. They are about 5 weeks old, sweet and learning to trust humans. Please reach out to me if you are able to take any or all of these babies into your home. ❤️

These two handsome country boys - Hub & Garth are in need of a fenced in area to roam and have adventures in. 2 1/2 yr old intact mixes who love attention from their humans. A home with no chicken or fouls.They seem to get along well with horses.

Know what? Dogs sleep 12 to 14 hours a day. Get a camera. Guess what your dog is doing while you're at work? Sleeping! They'll sleep with you at night and while you're at work. So that dog you just "rescued" 6 months ago while you were teleworking and now you want to get rid of because you have to go to work - great news! You don't need to. He'll sleep while you're gone and be ready to play when you get home. But he deserves someone who is home with him? Wait, you mean someone who doesn't work? Guess what? Most people have someone in the household that works! He loves you and he's fine with you earning money to feed him.
Carry on. Go to work. Keep your dog.
Even better - get him a friend and they can nap together.
