Haven’t seen this crew in a while!!
Phoebe is getting up there in age but goodness she still has s***k! Buddy has some allergies, so any scratches or belly rubs are more than welcome. In typical pibble fashion he is a sweet potato. 🥰 Charlie is the dog equivalent of an orange cat. He is just a classic goofy golden that would play fetch for days if you’d let him. He loves being outside, so rainy days like today he’s a little sad.

Mimi and Ziggy are so sweet, super snuggly and social. As long as they are getting attention, they are happy. Lily on the other hand is rather shy, and prefers her attention to be from a distance.

Zoë is just the sweetest little muffin. On laid back days we take nice long walks, then when we get home she picks a nice comfy spot to curl up in.

These two kitties are the newest addition to the RCaD family.

Ginger is newly diabetic, and Flash has a history of urinary issues, so both kitties need extra attention.

Flash is very social- the life of the party! Ginger is a little more cautious and nervous. One of his hiding spots is under the couch. I want to minimize stress as much as possible, so I lie on the floor and coax him out with a Churu treat. He absolutely loves the seafood flavor Churus! Once he’s out, I put the rest of the treat on the floor, and while he’s licking that, he gets his insulin. Absolutely no fuss, not even a growl.

We also did nail trims today. Flash doesn’t care to be picked up, so I swaddled her in my tortilla blanket to make her into a *literal* purrito. She was comfortable enough in purrito position to allow me to do her nails, but was more than thrilled when we were done.

Ginger on the other hand LOVED purrito time! After his nail trim we just sat for a while- he got lots of love and snacks.

What a way to start the day! Couch snuggles followed by breakfast, then a brisk 2.5 mile walk in this chilly drizzle, and ending with a fireplace nap. 🥰

Welcome to Reigning Cats and Dogs new ‘gram! I am rather behind the times with social media, but I thought I’d share a little about what I do.

I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician that offers in-home pet sitting services. I can do overnight stays* or drop ins, both of which include feeding, fresh water, play time/snuggle time and walks.
(*pending availability)

I am also able to do treatments: subcutaneous fluid administration, medication administration, and basic grooming (nail trims/dremel, sanitary shave, mat shave, paw pad shave, ear cleaning, eye cleaning, a**l gland expression).

In-home services tend to cause less stress for your pet- everything is normal to them, and the only variable is me. That makes them less likely to break with stress colitis, have anxiety, decrease appetite/thirst, etc. The goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible and try to keep things relatively normal- when your pet is happy, you worry less.

I love taking photos of all my patients. It’s fun for me, and I love sending them to my clients. With their permission, I would love to share all my furry friends with you!

I cover a rather vast area between the LowCountry and Georgia- there aren’t too many places I won’t go! Though I live in Savannah, the majority of my clients are in the LowCountry.

The hope for this account is to showcase my patients and give more insight into the animal care community.

**PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS NOT AN EASY STORY TO READ** (there are no photos, but the article is gut-wrenching enough)
I am so heartbroken for the family, and angry about the situation.
The only part of the article that I didn’t care for, is the blurb that states: “When choosing a pet-sitter, experts recommend picking candidates that are certified by a trusted organization, such as the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and Pet Sitters International.”
I personally, am not “certified” by either of these organizations. A lot of pet sitters aren’t. BUT! That doesn’t mean they aren’t good. I always recommend talking to your veterinarians, neighbors, friends, family, or even taking to Facebook or Nextdoor and asking the community who they would use for in-home pet sitting.
I am glad they had a ring doorbell camera so they could prove her guilt.
Communication is key- it’s about the care of the pet, and making sure the client(s) are comfortable and can rest easy while they are away knowing their fur babies are in good hands.
I hope this family is reunited with Roxie soon, and is able to find solace. I hope they never have to experience something like this again.

The Hilton Head Plantation residents hired the 20-year-old from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort to watch their two dogs and three cats during a nine-day trip out of the country.

Another day, another pupper got his wings. Thank you to Dr. Gayl with Lap of Love for coming to the house. We were able to be outside, at home with beautiful weather and birds chirping. Coney and I had some milkshakes from CookOut.
Coney was another RCaD original patient. He and I go back a lot of years. I’m thankful to his family for including me in todays service. I’m glad I could be there with you and pay respects to the most wonderful boy. Coney, safe travels over the rainbow bridge. See you again soon buddy. ❤️❤️
