Our ideal candidate is a DOG LOVER, and we don't mean "just petting dogs once in a while if they are around" kind of love, we mean a "Dog hugging, You-Tube video watching, hanging with the dog at a party" kind of dog lover. We're looking for the person that dreams of puppies while they sleep, and stops in their tracks to pet someone's dog on the street. If this sounds like you - then read on!

We are actively looking for team players who are hard working, motivated, reliable, excited about controlling chaos, and not afraid to get a little dirty!

Part-time shifts available. Looking for dependable people for closing shifts (until 7pm).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Maintaining a strict observation of the dogs at all times, including learning dog names
*Correcting unwanted behavior by voice commands, and positive reinforcement
*Communicating with co-workers/management as a team
*Maintaining cleaning duties such as laundry, mopping, washing dog bowls, and sanitizing all dog-play areas
*Maintaining a sanitary yard by immediately picking up all dog waste and spot cleaning
*Assist in dog feedings for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner
*Required to be on your feet and moving around yard 90% of shift

QUALIFICATIONS:

*MUST BE PASSIONATE ABOUT ALL DOGS! We Do NOT breed-restrict
*Must be at least 18 years old
*Must have evening availability (until 7pm)
*Must be able to work on some weekends and holidays
*Must have a reliable means of transportation
*Must have a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture
*Must be willing to work in a team environment
*Must be able to multi-task in a constantly varied environment
*Must be a quick learner and open to on-the-job training
*Must be okay with standing and walking for long periods of time, outdoors (rain or shine)
*Must be able to safely lift 50lbs
*Previous dog-related work/volunteer experience is a plus, but not a must. We are open to training and investing in you - if you are eager and willing to work hard. *Familiarity with dog body language and breed traits is ideal.

SCHEDULE:

Operating hours are between 6:00am-7:00pm. We have multiple shifts times throughout the day, but are specifically looking for evening availability.

We care for dogs 24/7/365 so weekend and holiday availability is a MUST.

Anyone with a history of being late or not showing for scheduled shifts please DO NOT Apply. We have a strict attendance policy.
