We're most known for our funny t-shirts for dog lovers and our in-house-made, single-ingredient dog treats but we also sell dog toys, things for the home, and accessories like dog bandanas with matching srcunhies so you can match your dog. It's not just another pet store I like to call it a dog boutique. All of the produc

ts available have a focus on clean and natural ingredients while also creating a sense of belonging to a community of others who look at themselves as crazy dog moms or dads or even crazy dog lovers. I started this as an online shop and grew it by starting Wisconsin’s first dog treat truck in 2021 to opening a storefront in 2022.

My name is Amanda and I am the owner of The Crazy Dog Mom. You may have noticed the logo is a husky, that husky is Kiara. She is the one who made me a crazy dog mom and inspired me to start this business. No amount of words can describe what she means to me, but she is now gone, waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. When she passed I thought about closing this shop, thinking "what's the point, everything was for her?" But then I realized I need to continue doing what I do best, be a dog mom. You see, some girls were born to be doctors, dancers, or stay at home mothers. But I was born to be a crazy dog mom. Now I have two baby boys, Koa and Ryuk. But Kiara is the one who lead me to learning all I could about how to give her the best life. So when she suddenly died at only 9 years old because of her spleen and liver being covered in masses that were bleeding out, it drove me to take a natural approach to life more seriously. Once I got Koa and Ryuk I knew right away I needed to give them everything I could but was struggling to find minimal ingredient treats that actually benefited them. That’s when I started making Excite Bites and turned the focus of the business to more natural products

How it works:

• Stop in store and let us know you want to sign up (not local? Send me a DM because we do things slightly different for you!)

• You’ll fill out a little card about your dog

• Next you’ll pick a card out of the box to see who your dog is Secret Santa for

• Shop around the store to pick out a cute gift based on the details on the card

• All gifts need to be brought into the store by Dec 7

• Dec 10 - 22 you can stop back in to pick up your gift from your Secret Santa!

• Share a photo or video of your pup opening their gift and tag us so we can share it and your Secret Santa will get to see the joy their gift brought your dog

Here’s a quick tip to help you do just that: add fresh food to your dog’s diet.⁠

Even if just 25% of your dog’s diet consists of fresh foods, you are significantly making a difference.⁠

This can be done by adding meal toppers, fresh treats, or incorporating a partial raw diet.⁠

Great meal topping or even fresh treat ideas are fruits, veggies, and meat that are safe for dogs. Such as:⁠

• bananas⁠
• pumpkin
• strawberries⁠
• blueberries⁠⠀
• pears⁠
• spinach⁠
• zucchini⁠
• cucumber⁠
• 93% lean ground beef⁠
• chicken breast⁠
⁠• and so many more!

Dogs don’t digest fruits and veggies the same way people do. It’s harder for their body to break them down so it’s best to prep fruits and veggies by throwing them in a food processor, blender, or lightly cooking them.⁠
Also, be careful of too many fruits because they are high in sugar. It’s best to have a variety of foods and to rotate!

The Crazy Dog Mom designs and sells apparel and accessories specifically made for crazy dog moms (and some for dads). When you shop at The Crazy Dog Mom, you help save dogs in need because I donate 10% of the proceeds to animal shelters. Buy a shirt, save a dog!

Not everyone understands the true connection a crazy dog mom can have with her dog. But I do. My Kiara is everything to me. She is my child, my best friend, and my partner in crime. I would, and do, do anything to give her the best life possible.
