I stumbled upon some short-lived federal (US) Bureaus, created during the 1920's-40's, to help educate and encourage self-preservation for every-day American families. These pamphlets and books are the bee's knees for a history ju**ie, like me.

[Found on the USDA Exhibit tab, through Internetarchive.com], these pamphlets were made by the Bureau of Home Economics and the Dept. of the Interior. Division of Subsistence Homesteads, and a couple other neat projects/federal-created programs you've never heard about before... (can we bring these back please?)

Cool and useful stuff.

(I downloaded them as pdf. formats so I could print out pages I want to add to my hardcopy notebooks.)
