This Mini-Session is the perfect opportunity to getting your pup in front of the camera! For this session we will be at DogKnows Unleashed on beautiful Camano Island. I have acreage that we are currently turning into a day park for clients which allows for relaxed, fun, and natural light images.

Hey, folks! It's time for another "Keri Needs Your Help!" moment, but this time, it's not for me – it's for one of my teams. Let me explain.

One of my DogKnows Service Dog Teams needs to find a new home for their 9-month-old neutered male standard poodle. Being a service dog is a significant responsibility, and not every pup is cut out for it. Despite careful evaluations, thorough research on breeders, and plenty of training, sometimes things just don’t work out. Service dogs must meet high training standards to provide the independence their handlers need. In this case, it's a behavior-related concern – not bad behavior, but more of a "I don't like this, and I need a different kind of job!" situation.

He's very smart, extremely affectionate, and eager to please his people. During a long weekend with me, he interacted well with my dogs and other playmates. He's high-energy, has some leash difficulties, and would thrive in a family that appreciates an intelligent, active, and affectionate companion. Having owned a dog is a must.

He's great for outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and exploring, and he handles bodies of water well. Structured jobs might not be his thing as he gets bored quickly, so keep training sessions short and sweet. If you're working on an AKC CGC certificate, he was on that path before the tough decision had to be made. Daily walks or access to a dog treadmill, or even both, are a must at this age – he needs both mental and physical stimulation. Plus, he has an adorable snore!

Currently residing in Washington State, he's up to date with medical care and shots, on a monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, and professionally groomed every 6-8 weeks as needed for a woolly coated dog.

If you're interested in giving him a loving home, please reach out to me. His current mom is understandably upset, but she's making this difficult decision for the well-being of her dog. I'll only pass on serious inquiries. Feel free to share with people you know who might be interested.

For folks looking for a Goldendoodle pup to add to your menagerie, King Family Doodles have puppies on the way! You will not find a more socialized, healthy, joyful pup then from this breeder! Their breeding standard are heads and tails (see what I did there?) above others, and these folks not oly talk the talk, they walk the walk!

We are so excited to see these puppies--a higher percentage of Golden Retriever genes and characteristics, but with the Goldendoodle fuzzy look we love. 🥰 Due April 19!

Hey folks, I need your feedback please. I need to lean out the DogKnows web site. I've noticed that most dog trainers do not offer a self scheduling system where you go in and make your appointment. Is that a benefit that you all like and need, or should I step it back down where you call or email a date and time you want?

WE'RE CLEARING THE SHELTER! Saturday, August 12th from 11 am to 3 pm we will be waiving all adoption fees. You heard that right! If you've been on the fence about adopting a pal from HSSV, this is your sign!

🐾This is a ONE-DAY ONLY event. An application will be required. You may visit www.skagithumane.org to complete one now or complete one in person on the day of the event. If you complete an application online, just pick a random animal to apply for so we can capture your information. You won't be obligated to that particular pet.

🐾Landlord approval is required for renters. If you rent and are considering adoption you need to inform your landlord that we will be calling them on Saturday for approval. You can come prepared with a letter of approval from your landlord, but it needs to be on official letterhead with contact details included.

🐾All pets available for adoption are included in this event. Note that there will be a small number of pets that are unavailable due to the fact that they are on a stray hold and not officially eligible for adoption.

🐾Adoption includes vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter, HSSV ID tag, and collar

For those who have survived, and a warring to those waiting to get their puppy. Remember have a variety of textures and appropriate chew toys and even ice chips to help sloth hurting gums. If the Chompers land on you, give them that chewy and be consistent about offering it instead of you.

Our family supports the Be Like Josh Foundation, and you should too! We love this charity not because Josh is a Doodle (and we ALL know Keri and her Doodles), but because BLJ shows us the good AND the bad days, the triumphs, and the times we say goodbye. If I were ever to be a dog in need, I'd want BLJ to be my champion, no matter how many hours or days or years I had. This amazing group dog crazy Human Helpers isn't afraid to take on a challenge! Their only limitation is funding and that is where we as the DogKnows family can help Josh and Ford and all the other pups. Starting at 9PM on Friday, 16 June - 9:00PM Saturday, 17 June for every dollar you donate to the BLJ Foundation, Keri will take that percentage off your next lesson. So $10.00=10%, $100=100%. Anything over $100 will be taken off on 2 or more lessons. We will need proof of the donation before we give you the BLJ Donation Code for lesson sign-ups. With so much yuck going on Josh and Ford and Friends are the zephyr our souls need to get back to balance.

I’m having an exceptionally hard time today and not for any particular reason. I guess it’s just my turn to feel the weight of the work that we do and truth be told, I just don’t ever feel like it’s good enough. But I can also confidently say that I have been doing my very best. Losing Gertie yesterday really took me down emotionally. It’s the sudden, traumatic losses that trigger me and this time around it was no different except that it hit at a time when I’ve been feeling very uncertain and insecure about where the BLJ is headed. I went into yesterday really needing a big win and instead I was handed a big loss. Interestingly enough, I woke up at 2 AM as motivated as I was emotionally gutted and I realized I have been holding back and so I wanted to say to all of you: please don’t take your foot off the gas when it comes to championing us.
We need your support.
We need your likes, shares and comments. We need people to follow this page.
We need people to pay attention to our pleas.
We really need local Arizona fosters.

Sometimes I worry the people view my personal Instagram page and assume that we have all the help we need because we have a large platform but that’s just not the case. Literally a mini walking session. Roux (short chocolate phantom coat) is a Mini Australian Labradoodle and Rocket (Woolley parti coat) is a Mini Goldendoodle who have become fast friends and are helping reach other walk better on leash by showing the other the appropriate behavior with various issues.
Sometimes your just the back end of the leash making sure they don’t jump into traffic!
